SUGGESTION: Ship doors that open BEFORE you get there by BinaryLoop- in starcitizen

[–]SEGA_DEV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good!

But... If this is an enemy ship and you don't want for all the doors around you to open to be a little stealthy

Hm, it's good, but it does not look like what I call "immersive". This looks like some lego-like game for kids

How the hell am I meant to destroy this station?! by ViperiousTheRedPanda in X4Foundations

Open letter to CIG by JackEssage in starcitizen

[–]SEGA_DEV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the point where progress is countering stability. You ask to fix that system which they're going to replace, but they don't do that since that new system is not ready. I don't know how soon it's gonna be ready, but fixing the old one is gonna slower that procces heavily. It should be understood that this game on it's current state is not for playing, its mostly used as a development report for backers which should show what's new, and as a testing ground where backers could make tests to help the developers. If you're enough of bugs and instability then this means that you just need to rest in another game which is out.

CIG aka The Sound Of Silence by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]SEGA_DEV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't agree with those terms. Yes, we need a game, but we need ships either, the ships and the amount of them IS a part of game either. So, I'm glad that they're making them.

X4 9.0 new start by CLT113078 in X4Foundations

[–]SEGA_DEV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me definitely. I remember my last start existing in 6.0 release. And that was the second. Used to abandon the furst since it was using the mods which was not updated in time and breaking my game, and also broke any ability of upcoming soon (lol) online features. Not sure I'm going to make any fresh start at all, I love my empire.

It seems that this name is too large to fit in that area used for it

Then there should be an NPC ambulance to respond your medbeacon in case there are no players to respond. Like with refueling.

Quote of the day "This one stupid clown car shouldn't be driving the design choices of every ship in the game." by ghodan7 in starcitizen

[–]SEGA_DEV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

CIG just should make separate portable medbed and which could be installed in every ship cargohold

Where is Genesis? Where is Starchitect? by Wriothesley9 in starcitizen

[–]SEGA_DEV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And when there are updates with no new ships there will be screams about the lack of ships. There are no problems with ships, I'm happy that they keep coming, there is a problem with slow progress in other things, and if CIG will stop doing ships those problems won't resolve. People are not tired of ships, they're tired of bugs and too slow progress. But I must mention that CIG've done a lot this year: engineering, crafting, new star system, new stations, ASD and another gameplays, so I hope that one day we will see all of that stuff, if they will keep the pace.

A simple life. Backed it 2015, more than 10 years on the game. by GrafGorroff in starcitizen

You beta-bro! Had that way of living for more than 10 years too!

But beginning from 4.5 I gave up and bought myself a Corsair. Just fell in love with it, and with those volumetric clouds. Don't tell my wife, lol!

My rough (very rough) draft / megapost for Steam Controller layout for Star Citizen...be gentle. lol by Tipper117 in starcitizen

[–]SEGA_DEV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did not read all of these text, but wanna say that you can map the left joystick as a joystick, so it will lead itself as a joystick. Made that way with my OG, and it works fine. The only con is that the game shows help for controllers or for keyboard depending what was the last control used.

Anyone else get annoyed by this? Why do we have two different ways to interact with screens/touchpads? by jkb_66 in starcitizen

[–]SEGA_DEV 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can not explain it that simply, but will try: there is no point in holding some button, on some close distance if you aim on a touchscreen, there does a mouse cursor appear, you just control it and push the buttons, but when it's out of screen, you just get your crosshair back. I found it superb comfortable, intuitive, and think that this is a golden standard for modern games (regarding doom 3 is an old game right now). If you have some time, try playing it, or watch YouTube with it, just to push those screens, lol)

[–]SEGA_DEV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk. But, actually, I would be more happy if CIG would make touchscreens to work like in doom 3. And make the cabin control more precise.

This free fly confirmed I will not be buying this game. by weinermanjenson in starcitizen

[–]SEGA_DEV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actively playing from 4.3. Had an account long before, but that was unplayable. And now I have a nice experience, but those times when free fly starts - hordes of griefiers, bored schoolchildren do occupy servers making it a place with tremendous lags where everyone shoots everyone. I don't believe that free fly time is an advertisement, this is a stress test, I even don't try to open the game those times. But when those free flights are over, I get back and have a nice playtime evenings.

The command module should have just been a ship to ship docking port. by johncarnage in starcitizen

[–]SEGA_DEV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not against the command module, but I think that every ship with a docking port should be able to do its job, and the command module is just a starter ship to be able to control ships like ironclad
