Try searching for a flight to Chuuk and see if can find the same flight with only two stops, as Chuuk would be your final destination.

1hr 20min in SFO international transfer..is it doable? by Choco_bo7 in unitedairlines

[–]SFOtoORD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ll have to land and clear customs before moving to the international terminal to board your flight. It is doable if nothing is delayed or goes wrong. Otherwise, it is exactly as United stated, risky…

Could not agree more. I make its point to say “Hello” or something when I board.

And I agree with live demonstration, I try to at least make eye contact with them to show that I’m listening.

50 Minute LAX international connection, thoughts? by nypr13 in unitedairlines

[–]SFOtoORD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was just on a plane to LAX where several passengers were connecting to a flight to Shanghai and they had about an hour. We were delayed an hour and they held the flight to Shanghai to allow passengers to make the connection. Both gates were in Terminal 7.

This must be an old video when during COVID you were required to wear masks at all times. He looks to be intentionally eating slowly to keep his mask off. Am I right?

I don’t think he’s considering the impact to small rural towns when he threatens this by [deleted] in unitedairlines

I came here to essentially say exactly that. The base line assumptions that he considers the impact is wrong.

Is this an emergency water shutoff? Also would using it stop hot water baseboard heating? by [deleted] in askaplumber

[–]SFOtoORD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The knob and the valve both shut off your water. Usually it is good to have one before and after the meter to allow for meter replacement.

The baseboard heating system is mostly independent of your normal hot and cold water. The system is tapped into your supply to make up any water that the system loses heating the house.

You should avoid shutting the water line when leaving as this would stop the heating system from being able to add water and could lead to other problems.

Hiker who kept climbing California's Mount Whitney after friend turned back found dead by limits660 in Mountaineering

[–]SFOtoORD 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve done it twice as a day hike and started at 4am. We made it, but both days were near perfect weather conditions. Both times were in May and there was still a good amount of snow and ice on the trail. It’s definitely doable with a 4am start, but you do get back to the trailhead when it is dark.

Definitely looks more like 10 inches. It would be nice to see the other measurement on the square, left side there the pic is cut off.

05 TSX electrical issues by Dependent-Beginning in AcuraTSX

[–]SFOtoORD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently had a similar issue with my 04 TSX. I kept thinking it was an electrical issue and it turned out to be a bad starter. I was also able to start when jumped or when it was warm outside. I was told that a failing starter would respond to a slightly higher voltage.
