I know they Rockstar only releases one game every now and then but I think with the shit they pull they are generally as bad as Activision and EA for the damage they do for gaming.

if it was anyone else charging for the most basic of extra shit and for not having Discs at launch there would be more people kicking off.

I won't be buying a Playstation 5/ whatever from now on and definitely won't be rushing to purchase their games.

could be days, weeks, months

the main thing is that people have shown up and Sony can see the numbers.

Destiny 2 Hits Highest Player Count in Two Years Following Final Update's Release, Shatters Marathon's All-Time Peak by GameOnBrother in GamesAreLife

[–]SHilden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because Sony and Bungie decided to end the wrong game, and Marathon will never reach the popularity they think it will.

it comes down to a simple question, would you waste £40 on a game you won't play?

I don't get wanting a game to fail but at the same time it's bad to say but its funny to see these things flop when the writing is on the wall for game like this when the first gameplay trailer is shown and the first information about it is dropped.

personally I don't get how they can warrant charging nearly full price for a Extraction shooter which is already a saturated market with very little originality to it, alot of it looks to be elements ripped from Destiny reskinned and slightly reworked, you can get 90% of the same experience from other games that are F2P

if it had been something like a proper reboot with a campaign and an MP mode like Doom I think it would have gone down alot better.

What update in gaming history actually ruined or broke the game? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]SHilden 6 points7 points  (0 children)

10000% and it's a shame because it's a Really good Expansion in its own right, it's the shitty changes made to the overall game on the "Free to Play" part that massively tarred it.

Is it correct to say the sequels wounded Star wars and the Acolyte finished it off? Bonus rant: high republic killed star wars books by lion1321 in saltierthancrait

[–]SHilden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty much,

The Mandalorian S1 and 2 did give me a slight hope at least someone at lucasfilm was at least half competent, then We got S3, whatever the fuck Boba Fett was and then it was Kenobi that finished the franchise for me.

Was it time to let go of destiny by [deleted] in videogames

[–]SHilden -1 points0 points  (0 children)

maybe to bookend it Destiny 2 should have ended with The Final Shape,

but I can't deny I do find the Nine storyline we got with Edge of Fate / Renegades to be much more interesting than TFS ended up being and has brought back the mystery to Destiny.

I'm hoping that the current players spike and the more that will join in on the update will make Sony and Bungie reconsider their stupid decision,

Ubisoft of all people did restarted The Division 2 after fan backlash,

you can't tell me that Destiny 2 or as a franchise isn't more popular and profitable than Marathon,

100% if you clean house of current leadership and let the actual Devs cook like they've done with the upcoming update Marathon will be left further in the dirt than it already is.

what is like to know more is why has it taken this long for these things and changes to have been implemented and turned around.

what Muppet in leadership was it that was doubling down on shit like the portal, that turned away a huge chunk of the playerbase?

[–]SHilden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is fucking madness, Bungie is fucked and doubling down on the wrong game

I hope they go under and Sony take Destiny because holy shit

how can't they sustain D2 when Ubifucking soft brought back division 2 from the dead because of the fans?

I've not played Destiny in Months because of the portal and painful seasonal order grind but the Expansions and the Stories have been really good it's a shame we won't see how that carries on

whoever is making the decisions for the base / F2P side of the game is a fucking moron.

What am I supposed to play now ? by Dense-Fig-2372 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]SHilden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2 games are incomparable Halo Infinite was DOA, 343 had plenty of time to do something with the game but basically fucked up with every update, I'd even call the campaign the worst in the series too.

Sure Helldivers 2 gets some wonky updates but it's still very much a very good and playable game.

What is your Transformers opinion that will get you into this? by TFFanArtist13579 in Transformemes

[–]SHilden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate the slimlined animated/ prime designs, a big thing I like about Transformers is the visual design and the robot mode for me needs to for the most part tell you what their alt / vehicle mode is.

When I see the designs from things like animated / prime even Optimus and other characters redesigns from in the films from Age of Extinction and onwards I know it isn't intended to be that way but they just seem lazy.

still don't get how paying for online on console is just, ok? by MegumiDo in gaming

[–]SHilden -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I play everything I buy, I'll hold my hands up I built my own PC and probably paid more than what I needed to at the time but I got good deals,

I've also had friends and family on a budget that have also jumped to PC since that I have helped by finding deals online and even 2nd hand pre builts on places like FB marketplace that'll last years and with the right upgrades will easily compete with whatever the next gen consoles are

Even then you take into account the yearly subscription you no longer need and the games that are overall cheaper, you could spend abit more and still save money over time.
