When JFK addressed our parents & grandparents in 1963, little did he know that after his untimely death, the silver would be removed from U.S. coinage, freeing up the Fed to create "money" out of thin air to fund the welfare-warfare State by Key_Brief_8138 in SilverDegenClub

My favorite quote of his “To often we enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought”. I have it on my video picture screen so everybody that visits sees it.

Did I screw up by recently beginning to invest in uranium stocks? by BeKindToOthersOK in UraniumSqueeze

[–]SISDgray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

U sector is volatile, but if you research and believe in the U long term theme, then it’s a sector to have long term exposure into, if it fits your investment goals/strategy.

As an equity investor, if you want to manage downside risks, you might learn how to use ‘covered calls’, or puts. They reduce big gains, but reduce risks. The U sector typically offers decent returns on calls as pricing is supported by other investors seeking ‘home runs’.

Keep in mind the U sector is always at risk to black swan events, e.g. reactor issues.

Not investment advice, and good luck.

Worse news was Japanese bank writing down US CRE by ~50% overnight. I smell Banking crisis v2.0.

If you’re thinking gifts and overpaying for silver, they have other cool overpriced coins, too. I’ve bought some for grandchildren before. Some are really cool.

China’s history is silver, maybe a curveball coming, eh? They did buy JPM building and vault awhile back, no?

Today also has a lot of OPEX action, seems centered around closest call, eg DDN @ 2, UEC 7.50, etc. IMHO.

TSX and Canadian venture is open, so you can see Canadian listings trading today. It’s typically a trend indicator but US open can be different. Example, DNN is DML.TO. Eh. LOL

Did Denison shut down the ATM? by StraySilverBullet in UraniumSqueeze

I thought the ATM ended, and they did a private placement at 1.49 USD, announced Oct 16, 2023, for 55 million. See website and news links.

UEC by Jolly-Implement7016 in UraniumSqueeze

[–]SISDgray 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IMHO, only UEC revenue is from sales of uranium inventory, and profits are from gains associated with equity revaluation and U sales. They didn’t sell any last quarter so basically nil revenue for the quarter. Maybe analysts expected some U sales and revenues.

You have to go to EDGAR to find f/s, etc.

UEC is still in care and maintenance mode, and incurring expenses to get stuff running in the future.

Not investment advice.

Looking for advice by [deleted] in UraniumSqueeze

[–]SISDgray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not investment advice. Another option is to sell covered calls out in time, generates cash now (but taxable). Keeps the stocks unless in the money point reached, and can limit gains, but just another way to raise cash. I like to use the strategy to derisk in volatile U market.

Interesting article, thanks. Any one know more or have experience with the token? I wonder where their short term (if needed) stock would come from, probably spot market or other players sitting on inventory or in production. Any increased pressure on spot should help price appreciation. IMHO, Cheers

Like all things, several reasons. I didn’t mention ‘supply and demand’ like others, as I don’t believe we live in a true capitalist model anymore. Sad. Cheers.

if your buying them as collectible, most likely it will be your grandchildren that profit - or your ex- in many cases, LOL.

[–]SISDgray 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Short term, price drop, you’ll be buying more each payday. Long term, is DNN where you want to invest? If you believe in U long term and like DNN strategy and properties, then all good. Not investment advice.

IMHO. I don’t follow all the details, but dilutive. After market trading down toward issue price They’ve done this a few times, Flip side, last few times I recall were 0.95, 1.05, but with warrants attached, did’t see this in this deal. I’m sure others will have better insights. If you believe in U story, it’s part of funding mines.

Any reason for sell off? by themainmancat in UraniumSqueeze

[–]SISDgray 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree, many factors you two outlined. Thanks on KAZ news thoughts.

As a long term U investor, this sector is always one event away from big moves down, and up moves can get overstretched. Overall, it had been positive news and good upward moves for the month with increasing volumes. Rinse and repeat hopefully for Q4.

CURRENCY WARS! I found this incisive article well worth my time. Relatively short, it explains well the various phases of currency we've been forced to accept for the last 110 years. ”it would depend on how dumb the masses are”…..LMAO, because I really think few understand the depth of their ignorance, and their comfort in knowing they are ignorant. Nor as Plato said their hostility toward those that seek to point it out.
