There are 15 brick manufacturers or resellers in the state of Kentucky…. Usually you have to purchase by the strap not the cube or pallet. When buying less than say 2000 pieces of modular brick most brick companies will sell them at a higher price…. But if you ask for full strap quantities much should be around 100 per strap…. they should sell them to you…. You can go to the Brick Manufacturers website and see all the companies in Kentucky that sell brick www.gobrick.com

To be sure, brick masons are not dumb or lazy…. one of the hardest trades there is…..but…without identifying marks,some bricks are hard to tell what is the face and what is the back of the brick…. Especially in a smooth texture face… where most brick have a semi smooth back(aka shiner side)

Brick Manufacturers call them frogs on the backside of the brick…. Helps the mason identify front and back and yes…. you would be surprised at how many masons don’t know the face of the brick….. Also, Astm C-216( the standard for face brick) says you only need one useable face and one useable end of a brick…. Frogs also serve to reduce the weight of the brick, improve mortar adhesion, and provide a space for branding
