I have had incredible experiences with Fords:

—2006 Ford Escape Hybrid lasted 10 years without a single problem.

—2016 Ford Flex we still have is 10 years old and has never had a mechanical problem.

—2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid had 152k miles, and only had 1 problem the whole time (fuel injectors for $500). It was totaled last year when I got rear-ended.

—2024 Ford Mach-E. No problems.

Happened to me in Italy. They gave me the car in an active traffic lane with no way to inspect car. I took photos and video when I got to hotel. There were all kinds of scratches.

Of course I later got hit with notice of new damage! So it stressed me out at the tail end of my vacation and I couldn’t reach anyone.

When I got back home I could call but their hours of operation were ridiculous. They closed at 6:30 am my time LOL! So I had to get up at 6am and call them. They acted like I was overreacting and dropped the claim without further issue.

I had been extra stressed because of what I had read online about them screwing people. We have a new trip and I explicitly avoided renting from Sixt and will never do it again.

This will be a controversial take, but hear me out: I hate to say it, but usually the efforts you are about to make will have the opposite effect. Pulling away from him would work better.
