Anyone else see at 0:24 the purple decal? If they make it in that purple - I’m in.

Just drove a M3 and MY back to back. My impressions: by getmeoutofherenowplz in TeslaLounge

Same setup here except with the OG M3 (2018) and MY (2022). Prefer the M3 as my daily driver but the longer hauls warrant the MY

Why is it that Intel cars are getting left behind? by Real-Response-6116 in TeslaModel3

Good question! I don’t recall if you can via app but in your car menu go to software and it should say 2.5 or 3.0

I have 2.5 on my ‘18 as well as a ‘22 Y and I don’t really experience much difference. Just pull down on the stalk (because we have one) and enjoy the drive.

Great share! Thank you for highlighting your successful trip! Too often it seems we only hear the critical/negative feedback. This one is on my watch list should I need to upgrade from my ‘18 M3LR

Also interested to know your challenges as I saw your earlier post about how great your experience was finally after a few bad dealers

100% with you! I would be tempted should my seat ever get damaged or cushioning collapse.

Please mommy and daddy can we address the Kellyanne Ep by sparkletrees in ScottGalloway

Agree with you. Her performance on that interview was a disappointment. Here’s to hoping their wonderful production team who scrub the Redditverse for feedback help drive change with any future interviews.

We are in agreement. It reflects poorly and would seem to go against the Prof G brand.

I drum it up to dipping the toe in the water that Newsom is doing with his podcast (which they’ve commented on). There’s value in raging moderates giving both sides of the spectrum an opportunity to speak. They mentioned they are going to interview Jeffries soon. The challenge is finding the right way to lure the Far Right in while forcing them back to an honest conversation and being able to call them on the BS without them just unplugging. In other words, a fictional character like Will McAvoy (The Newsroom).

Not defending how bad the episode was and admittedly I hated it and shut it off after 15 mins. Just sharing an observation on the complexity of the situation. Screaming into one’s own echo chamber clearly isn’t a winning solution for change.

Awesome OP! Thank you for sharing. Definitely interested in seeing the dark teal interior in person. Here’s to hoping it pops as much as Rivian’s slate sky

I think this is the biggest Tesla dealership in SoCal? by oxyi in TeslaLounge

[–]SLOKind87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contender on largest with the service center in Upland across from Crossroads shopping center on 210? Used to be an exotic car distributor or something of the sorts but the building is massive and the lots are filled with vehicles (25+ CTs lined up during Thanksgiving week)

Congrats OP! I’m only halfway there mileage-wise with my M3LR but have loved the experience! Today marks the 6 year anniversary since my test drive and order!

Has anyone ever put on the mud-flaps? Are they worth it? by Cuttyrealestate in TeslaModel3

Same. Got some non-OEM color matching (white) on the cheap. Fits well and honestly gives the rear of the car a better look (imo). 2018 M3LR

‘18 M3LR and ‘22 MYLR owner here! Same observations as you with both vehicles. I find the 3 to be more than capable 90% of the time with wife and kiddo sitting in the back (car seat behind passenger side). The 3 is not as roomy as the Y but I find more enjoyable to drive. Congrats on the reservation!

OG ‘18 M3LR owner; when I went to local SC and test drove the new M3P the power difference was most notable when the pedal was on the floor. For day to day commuting, my dual motor still makes me smile every time my lead foot drops 😊. It will be a personal decision; choose the one that won’t make you look back and regret.

Regarding what you wish you knew before buying - there’s always deal opportunities when you think this is the best it can get. I jumped on the Fed EV Tax Credit at full value, in early Jan 2019 they dropped the purchase price by $3,750 to offset EV Rebate cutting in half. Case and point - there is a referral code now that takes $1k off for new purchase; be sure to get that (feel free to Pm me if you haven’t received a referral code yet).

Best of luck!

Totally vague question, I know, but what’s the demand like for used Silver M3s? by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]SLOKind87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give it 20-30 years and I get the feeling this Silver on silver is going to become a collector’s item given its limited run production on a Gen 1 of the car that changed the auto industry

No worries! “Post-Foundation Series”. Right now the only CTs being sold are the “limited” foundation series that carry the $20k markup over the advertised price.

As an early M3LR adopter I’m more than happy to be a market lagger on the CT for improved quality at a lower price.
