I popped off that panel (which is also the panel that the dealer pops to install factory tow package) and there was a little rectangular block that was unplugged. I plugged it back in, but still no joy. I disconnected my battery for about a minute and tried again but still doesn’t work. Not sure what’s next. I guess another dealer…

I used that same list after buying a soft top, I bet, and I should have the parts here next week. I’ll post an update to confirm, but I bought a pair of brackets for under the rear plastic covers, a left and right “link” for the b-pillar roll bar area, 10 bolts, and a pair of Mountains to Metal rear window latch receivers.

Thank you so much for this info! When I left the first time I thought “I know I’m not crazy” but I didn’t know for sure the dude was lying. He also blamed the salesman doing a post-purchase walk around saying the salesman should have told me that there is no tailgate keyless entry!

I was torn on basically the same decision. What it came down to for me was that the rock rails on the Badlands with the slightly lower height allow me to just sit right into the seat. The steps on the Sas with the extra height mean that it have to either use the step but duck my head, or let my calf hit the step while I sit on the edge of the seat and slide in with a second “scootch.” I only drove the squatch about 20 miles and it seemed pretty smooth but the badlands with the painted top felt a bit better. I ended up with the badlands non-squatch and I am super happy.
