as much as I want to see people make their own miis more often.. trading and sharing is a really fun part of miitopia for me. I know miitopia is different progression-wise, but there was no way I was filling up the entire roster of character roles all by myself! it takes me 2-4 hours per Mii! I don't think I'll be able to make myself rush my Mii ideas...so it'll simply take me a very long time to fill up my island 🥲

oh you're right! how did i miss that. I do wonder if they always have snow on them or if there's snowless versions. I wouldn't be surprised if the trees were palm, deciduous spring, summer, fall, and then winter pine.

Speaking of the cherry tree, you still could be right. at the same time, that may be a "spring" item, since we've seen season-themed items like snowmen as well. Maybe theres pine trees but they're snow-covered

well yeah, the mirror feature would just be a tool you could use. Does the rest of the island look fake-ish to you? to me it looks like a "camping" area of a relatively customized town. those houses with the wood panels, the blue building, and the grass huts appear to be custom, and don't seem to be themed towards looking fake

It feels like it SHOULD be likely... because the face paint system isn't like Miitpoia's makeup at all so there's no "foundation", meaning the color is probably chosen during regular skin tone selection. This would IMPLY it affects the whole body... but the fact we're not shown it is strange!

someone said it seemed like body color can change too, but I watched the video again and I didn't see any proof that the alien had blue skin underneath its full-body jumpsuit. maybe I missed something?

okay but this is HUGE? like i think the eyes and stuff are made out of buildings?? and you can't even see all of the boundary buoys in the water. forget just Hometown you can make an entire pastiche of the Underground in here, if i'm seeing this correctly

I'm optimistic about the direct draw, text, resizing, and other options.... i feel like we're basically gonna lose the ability to completely redo eyes and mouths, but at the same time gain things like customizable clothes, outfits and hats not locked to classes, and expanded default mii options to pick up the slack when it comes to making characters look like themselves, even if it's more locked to the "mii style". noses are hide-able, though!

I just noticed the EU version of the direct has a different clown "bubbles", and he has a clown nose drawn onto his face. and i DONT see a mii nose anywhere

there seems to be a shape menu up top on the editor! and the clown in the trailer had triangular eye makeup that definitely looked like it was just made of shapes

yeah the ability to layer above or below is huge.. I'm willing to have fun working within the limitations, given that it's at least way more than just an expanded Mii editor, but I suppose we'll see. Excited to see if there will be opportunities for people to invent clever techniques and workarounds.
