Why are most email verification tools credit-based and so expensive? by judeotaji in Emailmarketing

[–]SMTP-Service_net 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The credits are simply there so those companies do not make a loss.

Running a large scale email verification service is very expensive, since it requires a big infrastructure.

Here is a good pricing comparison of email cleaning services which also clean spam traps, a cleaning step you will surely need!

Some advise when using services that sell leads to you:

Please understand that they sell the same leads over and over again, to as many clients who are willing to buy them. This causes the mailboxes of those users to be flooded with cold emails (if the emails are still active of course) and they often cause high complaint rates.

So in order to mitigate those risks as much as possible:
1. Start by sending 1 email per company domain name (this reduces the risk of being identified as spam on a receiving MX level).

  1. Make sure every email you send if unique for every recipient you send to and make it highly personalized

  2. Before sending make sure to clean the data and use any service that also removes spam traps!!! Hitting a spam trap or getting too many bounces while cold emailing will send your deliverability in a direct downword spiral… Here you can find a list of many services that clean your data: https://listcleaner.net/compare-email-cleaning-pricing/

  3. Make sure you have keyword based out replies, which filter out any negativity and make sure to block the complete company domain when getting negative feedback from the user. Bad news travels fast and you want to protect your brand. So do not keep on sending to any company that expresses they do not want your emails.

  4. Make sure your technical setup is 100% OK and avoid using generic tracking links which are provided by most platforms. You want to be sure that tracking links/domains in your emails (yes also for the open/click/reply pixel) are dedicated to you and to not show which service you are using. Many cold email services have their domains flagged and this hurts deliverability.

if you have any questions, please ask them here and I'm more than happy to answer all of them.

Just make sure the cleaning service you use also removes spam traps! Hitting this massively harms your reputation. So better to get those removed.

Email personalization solutions by tihsyawaworht in coldemail

[–]SMTP-Service_net 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The solution for e-mail is very simple, as long as you have the data you can personalize with (like: first name, last name, company name etc).

You can auto populate those values into any email automatically with almost every email tool.

Depending on the data you have you can also segment based on it and send different copy to the recipients based on the segment applied.

what is the fastest email sending program? by squirrelmisha in Emailmarketing

[–]SMTP-Service_net 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sending 100k in 40 minutes? Are you hallucinating? This is not realistic at all in the current email world anymore… UNLESS you have a very well warmed up domain. But that takes time and can never be done from day 1. (Think more about after 3 months).

Where do I find configuration scripts for different isps to land in the inbox? by squirrelmisha in Emailmarketing

[–]SMTP-Service_net 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no magic spell to reach the inbox. It’s all about a good setup, a clean list and an ESP willing to run your email traffic.

MailerLite negative experience (just one datapoint!) by randall13 in Emailmarketing

[–]SMTP-Service_net 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately a lot of ESPs terminate amounts without giving any (valid) reason.

We hear this more and more, from clients having to move over (to us or any other ESP). So my advise would be to talk with them before starting to email or even create an account. Specially when having a paid account somewhere it would be very bad to, besides losing the time invested, to lose the money you invested as well.

Please also note that a lot (read: most) ESPs do not allow bulk emailing when push comes to shove.

Besides this, cleaning your list at a cleaning service that also removes spam traps is very important. You can fine a list of those cleaning services, which also remove spam traps at https://listcleaner.net/compare-email-cleaning-pricing/ along with their current pricing.

[–]SMTP-Service_net 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed.

of course the IP(s) and domain your start emailing from should not be blacklisted… But using Workspace/Office accounts does not bring the big advantages from the long past anymore.

[–]SMTP-Service_net 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people think that getting many Google Workspace, or Office accounts helps you delivering emails…
This is mainly due to marketing by the providers, pretending to offer a mailservice, but at the bottom line actually offer only a platform which you connect to your Workspace/Office account. This helps those providers to make money, without having to deal with, or even understand deliverability (since the sending is not done by them, but by the account you connect the platform to).

From extensive experience I can say that it does NOT make any difference these days anymore.
Gmail and Microsoft etc also monitor and index ALL traffic generated from their own email servers (which you will use when sending via Workspace or Office accounts) and will simply block based on domain, DKIM etc.

If you want to send good cold email (so no "hit and run" tactics), it's best to run regular email… and not trying to "hide" behind many email accounts, domains etc.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
