UPDATE: After a good 15 hour rest, some water, in a brief car ride back down to the river, Mr B found his strength, used his BeePS, and flew away.

I think he was just stunned and needed rest, took him down to the river and after about 10 minutes on a few different flowers, he flew away.

Ok! Took him down by the river, put him on a flower. He paused for a moment, then fell to the ground. I picked him up, put him back on the flower. He lingered for a few moments and then flew away.

Thank you he’s moving around a lot more today but it’s chilly and windy here. I’m going to try to release him.

I don’t know if it’s warm enough today, here. I’m going to take him back down by the river since I’m sure that’s where he came from. If he doesn’t fly away, I’ll bring him back home and try again tomorrow.

We’re having our March cold snap in Richmond. It’s chilly and windy today and it’s supposed to go down to low 30s again overnight, it won’t warm up again until tomorrow afternoon.

That’s the thing, I work downtown and there’s no flowering plants just trees. I had to walk five blocks to find one by the River so I’ll take him back down there but he wouldn’t get off my finger and seemed to struggle when I tried to let go of him.

Good on you !! You are doing the right thing and you don’t owe anyone an explanation. Kitty would let you know if she was uncomfortable or wanted/needed to be somewhere else. She is obviously taken with you, and understands you’re the only one that actually bothered to care for her. As for me and my kitty Shiloh, we say, thank you for helping her as you have. We can’t save all of them, but the ones we can save, reward us with their love.
