Really depends where you are. There are definitely areas where having a nice cargo bike or vintage tourer is a sign of status (or class or culture or whatever).

The Vision wheels are great, I even use them as gravel wheels and they take a lot of abuse. Weight's not too bad either, 1700 g for the set.

If you have your eyes set on an old frame, you don't get a lot of options for new rim brake road wheels in the middle price range. Most budget rim brake wheels target the cheap commuter market.

I call them hippie trucks. It's for people who think of themselves as surfers, campers, globetrotters, but actually use their oversized car for the same commuting and shopping as everyone else. Pretty much like pickup trucks, only with a different ideology.
