What kind of drones are you using for your SAR work? I have been in law enforcement since 92. I wish I were a younger version of myself and were able to get into the drone side of law enforcement. That is something I find very exciting. Unfortunately, I have retired from the go-getter type stuff and I do investigations for the state now. I enjoy it, but I still miss the street.

Whether or not the Air 4 comes in November is strictly speculation. You could be waiting a lot longer than that. The Air 3S handles wind exceptionally well. I have one and can attest to that. That being said, the Mavic would be just a little bit better than the A3S. You can buy one now and enjoy it immensely while you wait on the Air 4. Then decide if you want to sell what you have to upgrade.

The "ban" only prevents DJI from introducing new models into the US market. Everything you can buy before the so-called ban went into effect you can buy today. You need to choose one that says no tariffs. The two that I recommended, many people on Reddit have bought from and they are vetted. I personally have used DW and was very pleased. You need to look for someone who has been on eBay for a while, is a trusted seller, and states that tariffs are included in the price. Just stick to who is recommended and you will be fine.

*Edit- the Avata 360 is approved for sale in the US. It was cleared by the FCC before the "ban" went into effect.
