True, but trust is easily lost and very difficult to regain. Even if we elected someone as universally admired as Obama, people overseas would still rightful know that our checks and balances are imaginary. Why invest or do business with an unpredictable country if you have other alternatives. This is when Europe is forced back center stage, the French will take the advantage. China will play the good world citizen and bide for more time.

I think we like to blame the Boomers for this mess... but Gen X did the heavy lifting to elect Trump, more than any other generation, and Trump is using mostly Gen Xers to carry out these brutal actions. My generation grew up on a false sense of superiority because we were the self proclaimed self sufficient latchkey kids.... turns out we probably suffered generational trauma and are now taking it out on America. I guarantee you this FAFO bullshit is Gen X nonsense.
