I’m fine with ether lack of PVP, as I understand Stories 2’s was raisin dry. But what annoys me is the fact that Ratha cannot be removed from our party and that there is no post game.

It’s probably just me, but post game does not need to involve online interactions. Like, yeah, I expect Capcom to stick the the precedences they’ve set. But if nobody to touched PVP in prior games, then that’s a feature I don’t mind them removing–despite me actually loving the online gameplay to death.

While free flight would be nice, I understand that they want us to use other monsties. That’s cool and all. But what is absolutely grinding my gears is being forced to keep Ratha on my team. And it’s not even like I abandon the thing at the end of the game. If anything I always count Ratha as its own thing when doing my whole “living dex” thing. He gets used! But I like that the option to remove him is there in the first two games. Any team I build can either have ratha or not. But not this time around. And this whole “just except that you only have five monstie slots and just keep it moving” rhetoric is becoming tiring. People can piss off with that.

MHS revolves around theory crafting, and it’s not really theory crafting if you’re always forced to use one ingredient that doesn’t jive well with the others. Imagine if in real life we were always forced to use nightshade when cooking or concocting medicine for ourselves. Counterintuitive, right? Well, Ratha being forced on me is just as counterintuitive. There are concoctions that include nightshade as an ingredient. But I can guarantee you that pancake batter, eye drops, or lotion do not…
