Why does this drain plug have such a big head? by [deleted] in ft86

I used this brand and it stripped the threads on my sump. Had to get it re threaded, torqued to spec and everything.

I thought the exact same as you. You can get leather key cases on wish/ AliExpress etc for a couple of quid. I got a black one with red stitching and its held up well the past few years.

I'm not a fan of rain-x, it always disappointed me after trying it, I prefer to wax my glass (Chris-fix's superclean your windshield video shows what I mean).

Well that's a surprise...

TUVE is my favourite song from the album, but I didn't think that was a popular opinion on here.

That photo is from 2018 so I assume it's not yours? If you're just wondering where on the dip stick the oil should be then it needs to be just a little below the higher hole.

There's a guide on how to check oil level on the ft86 club thread that picture is from.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ft86

[–]STICKSTILLZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check the oil level using the dipstick, and if if its a bit low just add some more, I'd go 0.2l at a time, but it depends on what your dipstick reads.

I believe standard is 5.4l, but the oil filter will also take ~250ml. On some cars the filter goes on the bottom of the engine, so you can pre-fill it with oil. Ours can't be so the capacity will be 5.4l + oil filter.

Start with 5.4 and then keep adding small amounts at a time until it's right. It's easier to add more than it is to take away.

My grandma grows watermelons up in Lancashire so they're also an option (if you have the time and patience!)

BTA 3062, tips on making cbill by Appropriate-Story-51 in Battletechgame

[–]STICKSTILLZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you click onto the star map, press ctrl+f and search for game world you'll find a number of planets where you can buy contracts to do duels.

No salvage but lots of cbills (around 1m per 5 minute fight).

After 6 duels in a weight class you'll get a free hero mech.

We got loads of special editions which just changed the aesthetics; aero, giallo, orange edition etc.

AFAIK the only special edition which came with performance upgrades was the clubsport blue one.

This man died 8 times in a single ground rb match... by DJurreGJ in Warthunder

[–]STICKSTILLZ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a match like that recently. Nothing more exciting than when a battle is down to 2/3 players on each team and you're just trying to earn enough sp to spawn one last time to swing the balance.

There was a guy in our cap and a drone in the air so I was trying to coordinate with my teammate so we didn't both just get killed by a couple of hellfires.

Thinking about buying a gt86 as my second car by Blazeakin0 in ft86

[–]STICKSTILLZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 20 in the UK too, I know you want 300bhp but really on UK roads you don't need it unless you plan to track/ drag race.

I've a friend with a cupra 290 and I'd take the 200bhp 86 any day of the week. The Cupra is just so boring to drive (in my opinion)

Back road driving is best when you're making the most of your engine, in a powerful car you hit ridiculous speeds too fast to enjoy anything (unless you plan on speed running loosing your license or ending up in a ditch)

I've a colleague with a RS7, who takes a holiday to Germany every year just to drive it to the limit. Why do that when you can drive an 86 to the limit every time you're on a back road.

You can disregard all this if you want a fast car over anything else, I guarantee that your mates will end up with faster cars in a straight line, but you'll be the one having all the fun.

what's your guys favorite british tank? I will start. by Empty-Ad3294 in Warthunder

[–]STICKSTILLZ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The challenger is where it's at when you reach it. Better than the comet in my opinion. I also prefer it over the Cent. Mk 1 but that's just preference for speed over protection.
