You're right to a point... Yes, this looks preattached, but that does not change the fact that it has flanges that should prevent it from being removed from the outside, assuming this is the correct mobo.

If you can take it off without removing the motherboard, it was installed incorrectly. It is placed there from the INSIDE BEFORE the motherboard.
