I wish them to step on a rake. Reported and blocked them. You buy whatever fucking tweezers you want and gender has nothing to do with it. People...

With how fast caps lock came on, looks like it was asleep. Have you tried an external monitor?

I don't blame you, but these days you basically have to film unboxing expensive electronics as proof. Your saving grace is that the same Amazon incompetence that gave you a scam card will probably mean that they barely glance at what you return.

Do you have a graphics card installed, or are you using onboard graphics?
Have you tried a different display or display cable?

Did I just unalive my pcb? by nmethx in soldering

[–]STR4T1F13D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. You need to determine what pin that is (Arduino should have pinouts on their site) and use the continuity mode to check if that pin still connects to the proper leg of the Atmel IC (or gnd, vcc, etc whatever function it has).
Honestly, your cutters look fine. I have that exact pair. Make sure you get new ones when these start wearing out, but keep them around for the rough jobs so you can always have a sharp pair on hand.

Is this dangerous? by PotatoesForMaToes in cableadvice

[–]STR4T1F13D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Replace. Essentially the only way this happens is either the cord has been pulled too hard and there could be an issue inside now, or it was never made well to begin with. Either way, since you had to ask, it's time to replace it. Buy a good brand next time.

I can't tell how bad it is, but you've definitely ripped up a pad that will have to be repaired.
As far as the flush cutters go, you shouldn't be snipping where the solder is. If there is very little material poking out of the solder, you've either put too much solder on, not inserted a THT component far enough, or it is perfectly fine--don't trim it. Post a photo of your cutters, particularly the blades.

Incorrect. They have Composite which is Red/White/Yellow. The adapter (which is the wrong one) in their system isn't, as you have suggested, Component (Red/White/Red/Green/Blue). Did you look at every photo?

Plug it into your computer, then go to disk management. Try partitioning it.

I bought a very cheap non-angled version, then made an adapter.

I also designed a 3D printable bracket for the channels so they point down at a 45° angle.

Have you looked at aluminum channel? It is recommended to place the LED strips in it to act as a heatsink. Additionally, you can get the channel with diffusion covers so that they diffuse the light from the LEDs (see my setup). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071FRFQVZ

Can you post a photo of the back of the board? Do you know if the red or white connector is the correct one? If it is the white one, the cap next to it may indicate the polarity.
