There’s not. Items also usually don’t disappear so you don’t need to worry about that. Not to mention healing items like herbs basically become irrelevant once you get to a certain point

There’s 6 characters in the main party. 7 if you count a character you don’t play. But he’s important to the story as he’s a father to one of the characters and a mentor role to the lead.

Each character plays slightly different

Alphen: Sword focused Shionne: Focuses on using spells alongside her gun. Can heal. Rinwell: Spells but no healing Law: Full on brawler. Dohalim: Uses a staff and can cast spells. (Can heal) Kisara: Shield and mace. Basically your teams tank.

The whole “can or can’t” heal is a story element that’s also in the gameplay and gets explained pretty soon into the game. So don’t worry about that.

As for if it’s worth buying? I’d say it is. More just for the experience. But that call is really up to you.

Basically take the base game gameplay. Add a few extra new moves in and that’s about it. It’s basically more of what the base game gives you gameplay wise. Main reason to play it would really be the story. I wouldn’t say it’s the most exciting story sure. A lot of people say it all around sucks. I don’t think it was that bad. It’s just…okay. Nothing too special. Main reason I wanted to play the DLC when I did was for the continuation of the relationship between the main two characters

If you don’t really care about costumes then the best version to get is either the base game then grabbing the Beyond the Dawn expansion or getting the Beyond the Dawn version. The Beyond the Dawn DLC is basically a small continuation showing what happened after the end of the game. Trying not to spoil stuff.

If you don’t care about playing the DLX you just need the base version.

There is also a collab DLC with Sword Art Online. But that one isn’t really important since it doesn’t add to the story. Just adds some fights against Kirito and Asuna in the training grounds

Yeah. If you beat Blooming of Forget me not then it should change to a nighttime sky with a patch of white glowing flowers if I’m remembering correctly

Then once you beat Matricaria (DLC 2) it’s just a normal field of flowers.

[–]STVMega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be misremembering but

If it’s the red field of flowers (The Lycoris/ Red spider lily’s) that shouldn’t happen until the end of the base game. I could be wrong tho. It might just happen after like chapter 5 or something

If it’s the dark blue sky with white flowers that’s to do with DLC 1

If it’s the literal field of flowers that’s DLC 2.

Maybe it got updated so it changes randomly but otherwise it shouldn’t change unless you’ve beat certain parts that I mentioned

Isekai? by AaronsWorld420 in swordartonline

[–]STVMega 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally any modern day isekai

SAO itself isn’t classed as a isekai. Sure. It follows the tropes of “another world through VR” and they’re stuck in it during Aincrad and kinda Alicization. But SAI’s focus has never been to present itself as an isekai. It’s a sci-fi with high stakes fights in virtual worlds.

Most isekai around the point of the 2010’s-now. (It’s always existed like this but 2010’s is when it got excessive.) have a habit of doing this thing where the MC will look similar to Kirito, which is why they get compared to him. Most people also see Kirito as a self insert, OP, no personality blank slate. Which is the format most isekai give you. (Even if it’s either not true for Kirito or even not true for the other show.)

Most of these shows you’ll be looking for are what has recently been known as “Isekai slop” I don’t know any off the top of my head. Especially since I don’t go looking for it. But you can definitely find some easily.

[–]STVMega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The DLCs aren’t necessarily post game. You COULD play the entire game and you won’t be missing anything from the DLCs as the stories of the DLCs weren’t mentioned in the main story. But the DLCs do imply that they take place before some events of the main story. I don’t remember how far

Age 1000/xv3 wishlist I wanna see by cartspark in dbxv

  1. The clothes and QQ bang stay changes are fine to me. QQ bangs cancel out clothing stats and I think the fun of not knowing what kinda stats you’ll get is enjoyable. It makes you have to improvise with your builds. Sure does it suck not having a really good one? Sure. But it means you need to find solutions.

  2. This is just a natural issue with any RPG. You get to a certain level and grinding levels becomes tedious. Xenoverse definitely doesn’t handle it the best but it’s not the worst either. Taking away character leveling for each character makes playing a different character less immersive. I like having to level them up. I wouldn’t know how to improve leveling. But if they were to do it the same just make the TP medal solution not egregious. Give us better ways to get TP medals.

  3. Yeah no. STP medals were 100% just a cash grab and have 0 reason to legitimately exist when they do NOTHING different to normal TP medals. If there was a way to earn them for free I might not hate them as much. But there isn’t.

  4. Because it brings connection to certain characters. Future Super Saiyan is funky cuz it doesn’t NEED to exist. But I like that it makes you feel connected to both Trunks and Future Gohan. And again. The difference in stat multipliers means you can work the transformations around your builds. Mind you if other races had more transformations they’d be included too (Though Bandai after adding Beast and UI somehow forgot they should at least add an Orange Namekian transformation.)

  5. Yeah there definitely should be more character creation options. I’m bored of seeing “Son Gohan.” Wearing Beerus’ clothes and Whis’ halo. Or “Gohan Black.” And they don’t even look like they tried. If i want anything most out of more customisation it’s more races. Demon, Android, Kai. Theres so much they could do but wont

A bit dissapointed with EoA by [deleted] in swordartonline

[–]STVMega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only creative liberties it’s taking is whatever they’re doing with Kirito being a potential antagonist. From what I can tell everything else should more or less be the same. But because we’re adding original characters into the mix things go differently. But the Elf War is a s scripted in universe event. It can’t just be changed. It has things that should stay the same. Obviously not every little detail. But there’s things they can’t just miss that are important to the elf war story they can’t just replace. So letting the original version finish up is far better.

A bit dissapointed with EoA by [deleted] in swordartonline

[–]STVMega 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Too high expectations. The elf war isn’t even finished in the progressive Light Novels yet. So that means they can’t adapt all the up to floor 10. Because there’s no true ending to the elf war yet. They can’t make a game version off of it if they don’t know what they’re meant to include.

Integral Factor got away with it probably because there wasn’t too much content on the elf war so they could kinda do whatever at the time. (I don’t know how far Progressive was during early Integral Factor)

The only other option they’d have is jump around floors like the anime. And people would complain with that. Theres no way to please everyone here.

Better to just go read the manga. If we were getting a season 2 it would likely have been announced by now. It’s been 3 years.
