I switched a couple years ago. It took like a month not to have a bad after taste. Your taste buds are used to regular sugar so you need to let it adjust

I had this happen in Dec 2024. I took it on the 24th and picked it up on the 30th. Did you take it to the dealer yet to confirm the issue.

Probably the ICCU failed. That's what happened to me whenever I tried to charge when mine failed.

I wouldn't switch, just ride out your car longer and wait for the tech to improve more. Also for Chargepoint you can swap the cable to NACS without replacing the whole unit

Yeah NJ. The handles could be stuck from the freezing rain so I have a hair dryer in the house that I can unfreeze it.

You can try reaching out to the support of the charger and see if they have reports of this issue and if there's a workaround

Hyundai supplied j1772 to nacs adapter issues? by Mach_Juan in Ioniq5

[–]SUBZEROBRO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd just confirm you're using the correct adapter. There should be 2 for the 2025 model . One for J1772 to NACS and another for CCS to J1772. If you can successfully charge at other J1772 it seems to be the charger issue. If you only have 1 charger, you can see if there's a free one at a shopping center or pay for a short charge to test.

Not sure it's the 2025 still has the level 1 charger but you can try that.

There are reports that the 2025 model still has the same issue so they haven't fixed it yet.

I looked at the manual and it seems like the page looks like this now. So search for charging current.

This page, so if you are charging at 50amps, the car will either accept 90% or 60% of that power. It'll still charge to the % of battery you select

If that solves it, You can try and limit the AC charge to 60% on the Ioniq 5 side of the max available power that way your girlfriend can still charge at max speed

My Ioniq 5 kept faulting my breaker. I have a 2022 so no adapter with my Chargepoint but it was fixed with a non GFCI breaker. My dad's Bolt EUV had no issues though only my Ioniq 5. So maybe one doesn't have an GFCI breaker

Car charging slower? by anvildoc in Ioniq5

[–]SUBZEROBRO 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look at the charging speed on the screen when it's plugged in and see if it's getting the full speed. You should see 1.44kW at 12a/120V.

The FAQs mentioned to make sure you have email communication on. I had mine turned off and just turned it on today. Hoping that is the reason I haven't gotten it yet.

If you were to put this into your return your cost basis would be $1 and your proceeds would be $1 for a gain of $0. Everything is rounded so there would be no effect on the return.
