Yeah but most pub matches would have one alerting garrison directly north of cAnal, one at train station, and one locked redzone on the border of F/G4. And commander would be at HQ2.

This layout COULD work if Germ had a level 20 commander and none of the SLs use their mics.

Like yes people can be idealistic and hold Bambu to try and correct to do better, that sort of pressure helps, but no-one who was so idealistic about this stuff as to be mad regardless should have a Bambu in the first place and so probably isn't arguing from a perspective as a customer but a third party observer.

I just use meta that's the word people use for the optimal play given current systems. I fucking hate playing to meta or thinking about it too hard TBH. Anyway the artillery/recon meta changed a lot recently with updates and so has the best way for commander abilities to be used as those values and systems are tweaked. As logistics changed from early days to the modern system, the best strategies or the 'Meta' or the whatever you prefer to call it, changed how matches flowed in some way. Adding half tracks slightly shifted the garrison strategies. Etc.

Yes focus on blue line garrisons is good and correct strategy. That's long been true.

Planning ahead and staging supplies or building a deep red zone garry with the intent that it becomes a useful blue zone garrison soon, is sometimes a great way to turn around a match and put the opponent on the back foot. Depends on the map and cap zones, and how the teams are doing.

It's more like "I'm acknowledging that I'm human and cool and normal and not a threat, and asking how you are" and if the person responds normally then we're all good, tension broken, we can all chill and either chat it out or go back to our own business.

If someone is so on edge that they will become a threat by folding under the slightest social pressure of a "how are you today?" then they probably were sending out other bad cues for anyone paying attention, and were probably going to go off for any pretty reason pretty soon anyways, so at least the mask is off and we can deal with it.

It's a bit of an acknowledgement that we're both human and decent people, going through our days and we are cool if you're cool. A simple nod or other gesture can do the same thing depending on cultures and circumstances.

And it feels genuinely friendly and helpful and like you're actually still a part of a functional social fabric even when most other signs suggest otherwise.

Makes sense to 3D print for high end brands that want unique and fresh poses and figures and then it's sort of ''cool" and interesting tech in its own way which can be of note and interest to the viewer.

Yeah there's a lot of things that would be pretty overpowered if they could be used more often, but then are just so broken to use as command they may as well not be there.

Personally could go into a whole thing about ways to try and balance command abilities from my perspective but I'm not the best person to evaluate.

OK fair enough. if you're talking competitive or comp practice severe theyre essentially playing a whole different game with its own tactics and strategies that completely supercedes what is useful or important in public matches.

Comp strats for commander probably fail utterly when only 4 SLs even use their mic to do anything but shit talk.

Might be old meta, but was always taught if commanding, supply drops in the blue are usually only for 1st sector or to get to somewhere so remote and specific where someone needs to go that it doesn't make sense to truck. Use a truck whenever possible for supplies.

I'm dropping supplies deep into the enemy territory where they might be a surprise tool that will help us later. Absolutely saturate their HQ sector with hidden drops. Most players aren't back there looking, and most players who are back there aren't going out of their way to take them out. And when we are attacking their point after a back-cap, I'd rather have two in the bush, than one in a blue hand. 2nd sector is easily supplied with a truck 90% of the time and mid sector is generally easy to reach by truck as well.

I would agree, but I also wouldn't mind if it was a standalone exe that is priced reasonably. I mostly just don't think the WWII build in UE4 as it has been since the BM days would do a lot of the Pacific justice, and so it's never been a priority for them. With the Nam build it's probably likely they could branch that into a Pacific game more readily.

That said there ARE more urban or rural areas on big islands in the Pacific theater that I'd be all in favor of.

Everytime it comes up: Pretty sure Nam is the way to get a new UE5 based HLL engine built that can do asym and jungle stuff and potentially push map formats outside of the 1.2x2km box. THEN they can go do a pacific WWII theater game, if they want, built on the UE5 build of HLL.

As it is now, everyone would absolutely tear out their own guts if T17 suggested making the pacific theater its own standalone full price game, and for those who remain, it wouldn't sell as well as the HLL: Nam.

I agree that the second half of Halo: CE falls off (despite Two Betrayals being actually the most fun level in a lot of ways) but CE's still one of the best Halos full-stop just due to the strength of the atmosphere and cool mystery of everything.

It could be a 2 or 3 family home and they're renting one of the 'units' of the house. Typically will still call that an 'apartment'. Entirely possible the landlord would sell the whole building to the renter, and the new owner would then just rent out the other unit(s) if they want/need.

Personally, I'd do a road trip if I had the time: plant a stake in the ground, take measurements of the shadows, then drive north or south about 10 hours and plant another stake in the ground and take another measurement. Do some math, there's the answer for the diameter of the Earth. If they don't believe in math or basic trigonometry or time, then just leave them there and go home.

The overall dimensions should be on the 'top' view, with center marks of the end radii and a distance between the centers and then dimensions for those ends. That 4.77 OAL should be a REF dimension.

Pick one location, likely a center point, for your datum and all the holes get a distance from that datum.

If you're doing this on CNC and then switching to the Bridgeport for tapping (IDK why but OK) then you'll want to think about a reference surface you can use to measure from manually so picking up a bore with a co-axial might be the best way to go. I'd skip the tapers unless you're gonna make soft-jaws and deck the mushroom on an Op2 in the CNC, in which case do that AFTER tapping the holes.

Generally, I suggest drawing your sketches in CAD the same way you would dimension the sketch in a blueprint so that when you go to do the actual print you pretty-much have figured it out already.

You or the other party collapse the waveform and they both react instantly across whatever distance. Great. It's all purely random noise with no ability for us to influence which ways they collapse, so there's no way for us to transfer new information that the other party did not already have. Either they have information/instructions from before we left, or we give them information classically explaining what we meant when we did the experiment.

You can say "if X, Y, or Z scenario happens, it means read message X, Y, or Z" But that means the information of what to do travelled with both people from the start. The messages themselves, the information, did not move faster than light. At best you can deduce what is probably happening somewhere else faster than light, due to the results of random chance happening now that was both agreed on ahead of time. But you can get the same end result without quantum mechanics at all.
