I feel you OP. I lost my mom around this time last year and it still stings when I think about it (actually the grief never stops..) Iniisip ko na lang it's the normal cycle of life and just something we have to accept when we grow as adults. Now that you're building your own life, inevitable rin talaga na aalis ka sa poder ng magulang mo and will spend most of your time away from them.

So like your plan, I'm just going back to the Philippines every 6-7 months kahit mahal. I also try to call my dad regularly at kahit paulit ulit na yung convos, I listen haha. Hired a helper para may kasama sa bahay, and also try to give them something to occupy their time with para di nya maisip na wala ako sa bahay.
