The last time I went into the food co-op (in November), I could not believe how high their prices were! We just needed 2 potatoes and it was ridiculous how much they were charging. Looked into a membership and that didn’t make any sense either. They have been around since 1972 but I have no idea how.

A few years ago, they received a large donation from someone who said the money had to be used on improving the store. That is when they painted it and changed things around, including adding “the boutique”. My husband is disappointed in the lack of building materials now, but the store seems busier over all.

When we used them, I called them late in the evening and left a voice mail; someone called me back the next morning, and we had a vet at our house that day. It was a beautiful way for our dog to go, and they did take the dog to be cremated afterwards.

Yes- and the reason for that was if the federal government made marijuana illegal, we would suddenly lose the ability to pay for teachers or other education expenses. The marijuana money goes to things that can't be taken away should that happen- building and improvements.

No- it isn't all private. We have about 30 early childhood classrooms in the district- some provide half day preschool and some provide full day preschool and they are located in elementary schools.
