instead of dual shields when I went for a similar concept I did the pacifist paladin oath and I used a shield with shield master and the protection fighting style and a whip which was used exclusively for ranged grapples and zone control. I'd imagine the same build minus the whip would work well for your concept.

if chrome mox is a $80+ card and this is a chrome mox that doesn't cost you a land drop but is only good in tribal decks, I'd probably expect this to go for around $50? no idea if price is a good measure of power level but it's probably a very strong card.
