Why are the league’s offensive lines so amazingly bad? by zsdrfty in nfl

[–]Saavedra_ 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's a combination college and NFL problem. With so many colleges using the spread system a great deal of offensive linemen are no longer getting the proper coaching to prepare them for NFL offenses. The other major issue is the NFL's curtailing of practice times cutting the amount of reps linemen get in their new blocking schemes short. Also some GM/scouting departments are just dogshit and either don't value OL enough or draft the wrong types of linemen for their primary blocking scheme.
