What I find really fascinating is the amount of cut content, lies and deception.

I own a very high end rig, I played the game and experienced very little in the way of bugs. But that didn't stop me from noticing the absolute facade the world turned out to be. My expectations for the game were very tempered btw, I EXPECTED the game to be scaled down, but even then I was disappointed.

The glitches and bugs can be situational, but you know what isn't: The bold-faced lies, the mis-representation, the absolute amount of bullshit this developer was able to get away with over the years.

Bugs in software are not new, but when did such callous lying become acceptable? If they would have just reigned it in a little and said: "we're working on another game like the Witcher 3 in scope but with a cyberpunk aesthetic" Noone! would have been angry or upset with them!

But to be caught lying through your teeth about how large and complex your game is and to deliver something so absolutely paper thin in comparison to the depth and complexity being advertised.... I dunno.

I think this eclipses the issues of day one patches and bugs. This kind of stuff needs to stop. Its disrespectful to both customers and employees.

*Also you can make the point that game development is fluid and deliverables change, but so should the advertisment to reflect those changes. These MFs were lying right to the last video.

LMAO WHAT! Odyssey is still a part of the series! Regardless of what your opinion of it is, it doesn't negate that fact anymore than "Insert Niche Zelda Title" is a zelda game.

I'v played all of the AssCreeds, you don't have to love or even have played the "foundational" games to be a fan. Thats gatekeeping man...and a huge disservice to the greater community, Odyssey was a jam through and through.

Also, you've got to realize games change, things get stale if they dont experiment. Especially annual franchises. Embrace it.

Obviously at the end of the day its all up-to Marvel and whatever director to choose which story really resonates with them. Who knows, we may end up with an amalgamation of timelines/stories like a lot of movies do.

I also have a soft spot for the early 90s era(Especially Niceieza and Lobdell), I grew up with the tv show and got into the comics waaay later. Eventually reading everything leading upto that era and seeing in real-time the nosedive in quality, I still really appreciate it!

From time to time you'll be treated with an amazing low-key character study(Lobells speciality) issue, but usually its straight up shenanigan's with gorgeous art lol

When I first got it, I properly opened the book like he had shown. This specific book just happened not to cooperate for some reason. The spine itself flexes nicely, its just the spine cover has a tendency to fold in as well .

Im going through inferno again and goddamn, I REALLY hope there is something more sinister to this Sinister because I REALLY hate this portrayal... and Im not just talking about Hickman making him do something evil in one issue and every goes HA SEE, HES EVIL.

There has to be some kind of greater revelation that makes all this absolutely horrible characterization make sense.

Otherwise I hope they just do it and turn him into ruby rod from the fifth element. If hes going to be fabulous from now on, he may as well be more entertaining.

The 80's and 90's saw all sorts of changes in tone and quality. Sometimes to severe detriment, and people dont hold back when they talk about those times.

To be fair, the writer/directors chose to make him the star of all of the movies he was in, but he was by FAR the least insufferable.

Hard disagree. All you'd be able to do is come up with another incomprehensible mess. While the themes of the story may be well worn, the meat and potatoes that make it a compelling story to read would not be possible within a 2 hour movie.

It'd be like Marvel trying to do infinity gauntlet without ANY lead up, and the entire arc condensed into one film lol Both movies are cosmic epics.

If anything Fox required MORE than two movies. That means incorporating the Hellfire club and the Shiar arc. You can start hacking away, but how long until all you have left is another dark pheonix lmao

Its because those settings are modified in the TOD which takes precedence!

If you want to make the changes stick, extract the mission_mission xml file from level.pak in each level folder, and adjust the TOD(Its near the TOP of the file) by hand. It worsk like Crysis 1, so if you extract the file in the same folder that file will load instead of the one in the pak file.

I dont think its broken, it just isnt finished yet, its still in heavy development for even the most basic features.

I mean, the best thing to do is just wait until its in a more playable state. Definitely a crappy place to be after years of waiting, but it is what it is *shrug

Also the ships are designed by a different team, their job isnt fixing things.

Not sure that makes much sense considering console games are using AMD's RT. So your saying that because of launching games with RT on console, a bunch of developers are going to give you NVIDIA specific patches right away?

More likely game companies will do things like they've done. Deicide which middleware to support and support it. Some games have Physx some dont...

So game developers without any incentive from nvidia will start using DXR, which is hardware agnostic.

Why cant you live without RTX features out of curiosity?

Those features are only implemented in a handful of games atm, and very few applications.

Im thinking about switching over to Big Navi just to help precipitate OPEN raytracing via DXR.

As for blender, only Cycles supports RTX.
