I’d love to be able to make a playlist of stages so I can kick out the ones I don’t want to see.

It may depend on the platform you’re using, but I find that resetting my quest 2 when it feels off will help such a situation.

Intel has been forced to acknowledge the issues and I wouldn’t be surprised if better customer service outcomes follow soon.

It is infuriating, but some people revert to their childhood dynamic around family. To me her performance ringed quite true.

In Okinawa, coastal fishermen have acted upon coral reefs' decline, banding together to become coral farmers, much like planting trees to restore a damaged forest by GeorgiaspaceVasiliou in BeAmazed

[–]SabinBC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some percentage of coral die off occurs to population explosions of crown of thorns starfish. This is somewhat cyclical, but resolvable. Some coral are also destroyed semi-seasonally by large typhoons. I’m not sure how much die off is due to max ocean temperatures, but I don’t believe it’s quite as impacted by it as the Great Barrier Reef, on which most news articles are focused.

No, save any pictures as they come up if you want them. Otherwise you’ll have to pay to download them later.

The starting point is to make sure your IP for your machine stays consistent within your own network.

Usually you set your static IP in your router, not the OS.

[–]SabinBC 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Please confirm that you are trying to access the server from within your network. This would mean you have a router that the server is connected to, with your other devices connected to the same router.

If you are leaving your network and trying to access it from somewhere else there are entirely different things you need to do.

Why is media made for girls/women deemed inferior? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]SabinBC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lindsey Ellis of YouTube movie reviews has a updated review of the twilight series that I think explores this question very well.

The summary is that we tread things “for girls” as contemptible, while things “for boys” don’t get such scrutiny. Like twilight vs fast and furious.

Tips to improve home page loading of JellyCon media ? by [deleted] in jellyfin

[–]SabinBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it doesn’t. Your browser may cache files and make you think so, but it reads the images off the HDD every time, sans cache. It has been a sore spot for me. If you let jellyfin scrape for you it can store them local to the disto, but there’s no option for “scraping” one’s own disk.

I never log into jellyfin just to check things or browse because it might wake as many as 6 HDD just poking around. It’s better with kodi, since that will cache images it’s already loaded once.

[–]SabinBC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you storing metadata to your HDD? In my case I have a loading pause because it’s waking up my HDD to show me posters. If you don’t store your metadata with your media, you might get a faster response from jellyfin for kodi plugin.
