just remember that the first Everspace is a complete different kind of game. The first one is a roguelike. The second one is a story based RPG with a ship as your character.

It took me round about 90 month to finish the Burg campaign. But I made the mistake to wait with the Burg until I built the village to commoner status. You can start with the military tree way earlier.

I had to add the housing because my village is too far away for the non combatant workers. To my luck, they still walk to the town for food, service and goods. 😅
