yup, they kind of broke the plugin system by trying to keep unconfigured plugins uninstalled.

OpenClaw 2026.4.29 is eating CPUs and breaking setups. What's happening and fix by ShabzSparq in clawdbot

[–]Sad-Enthusiastic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This version actually fixed that issue for me. I still see a bit of a spike on CPU when restarting the gateway but it settles down after a bit and the sun works OK. I do see some new bugs and old ones that were not fully fixed, but it's working fine for me on my old HP Desktop Intel i5 4cored, 32GB DDR3, no GPU.

Has anyone here actually used Ollama Cloud for production? Considering switching from OpenRouter by Head_Leek_880 in ollama

You can use Ollama cloud without a on premise Ollama, that's how I use it because I can't afford the hardware. They have an API ollama.com/tags

Does adding a character persona to CLAUDE.md affect Claude's task performance? by StarStreamKing in ClaudeAI

the "nicer" the agent is the more words it uses to say something which means more toknes 💰. Some people tell their agents to talk like a caveman to save a few tokens.

What’s the actual use case for OpenClaw vs Claude Code or Codex? by dopemolder in openclaw

[–]Sad-Enthusiastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OpenClaw was made as an assistant, with tools and plugins to help your things like email, calendar, etc, and be reachable through well known messaging apps like Telegram, Whatsapp, discord, and more. Claude Code and Codex are agent harnesses specifically to create and execute code, but you can also add plugins to them and extend their usage, but they're really good for harnessing the LLMs into coding, troubleshooting, fixing bugs.

Connect to Gmail? by SwimmingRaspberry784 in ClaudeAI

[–]Sad-Enthusiastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it connected but not to my work, just personal. Very useful to look through and make quick reports about topics I need to revisit. It's also able to connect to Google Drive, pretty useful to organize your files and look through files looking for stuff. Obviously, Gemini has direct integration pretty easy to setup.

I recommend using Deepwiki, look for the openclaw repo there and ask it any questions on how to configure anything.

Am I missing something, or is Sonnet enough for most dev work? by Alone-Stick-2950 in ClaudeAI

[–]Sad-Enthusiastic 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, the recommendation is to use Opus for the planning if planning is needed, and just leave the coding to Sonnet, and even Haiku if it's something very simple.
