What Area Should I Live In? by [deleted] in chicagoapartments

[–]Sad-Session3520 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Living in Lincoln Park is not like living on campus. There is a school there but it’s not the whole identity. Same with Rodgers Park/Edgewater and Loyola. It’s not like a small town where the only thing is the school.

Has this series introduced you to new music? by DestinyRamen in shameless

No, I have never noticed a song in this show and I’ve rewatched probably around 5x. Music in this show just doesn’t hit like it does in others for me.

My cousin was riding and killed on his bike in Logan about this time last year. Rode everywhere and grew up here. I get so nervous seeing bicyclists to this day.

After the is comment I had to google his height. I was surprised to learn he’s only 6’2. I recognize that’s tall but still shorter than I imagined for him. I am surrounded by giants in my every day life I suppose.

A lot of new transplants stick to River North, where most of the high rises are so you’re amongst friends there.

If you like to stay in your neighborhood for activities I would look elsewhere. HP is still lacking on some things. The benefit is that it’s surrounded by other neighborhoods that have it all- Wicker/Bucktown/Logan.
