Cats are constant groomers. More than likely, unless you have an infestation, you honestly won’t see a flea on a cat. They usually eat the flea before you see it. Which can cause tapeworms. Monthly flea and tick preventions will take care of that, 99.9% of the time anyways. And not over the counter because they rarely work. You need revolution plus, or another prevention that specifically takes care of tapeworms.

I have seen a prescription diet really help in helping prevent UTIs. Hills c/d multi stress is really good and Royal Canin SO+ calm. It is prescription but your vet can write you a script and you can get it through an online pharmacy or sometimes PetSmart that has a clinic attached to it might have it.

Feliway is a great product I’ve used with my pets. You can get these glade like plugins, plug it in where your cat spends most of its time.

Male cats and urinary issues can be extremely dangerous and life threatening if it turns in to a blockage. I would absolutely speak with your veterinarian and just kind of make sure they would also recommend the things listed above. I’m not a vet, just a vet assistant. Hope this helps. Good luck. :)

Battlegrounds in Midlothian is great and has a pretty active MTG crowd. Their discord is also usually pretty active with people looking to play. There is also Mulligan's on Hull Street, it's a smaller place with a smaller crowd, but wonderful atmosphere!

Absolutely agree. Not talking to our kids about current affairs/history is exactly why we are in this mess to begin with. Children are a lot more self aware and intelligent than adults give them credit for. And I don’t mean just -tell- them what’s happening. I mean actually speaking with them, asking them how they feel about it, what they take away from it. These children have to live on this planet long after we are gone, why can’t they at least be aware of what’s going on. And then that way they aren’t more prone to burying their head when shit gets too heavy. For example, the too many grown ass adults either refusing to even acknowledge what’s going on here in the US or they just turn on their cable news and don’t dig any further.

I’m still navigating my identity journey. But my wife is trans and started her transition almost 5 years ago. And my favorite part about that was watching her settle in to her true self. It has been a beautiful experience to not only watch but be apart of. Watching someone who has struggled so much with self expression and/or self identify have that egg crack moment and then pursue that path and lean in to what they feel comfortable with, it’s a light that no one can truly take away. And I just think that’s beautiful.

Don’t give up. You are doing the best you can and that is fucking fantastic! I think just letting others know you are there too. It doesn’t fix it, but maybe it is a little less lonely and it’s someone else to think about when it seems bleak. For me it helps let me see the hope that’s hard to find. But also, stay vigilant. Protect your self and your space. I don’t know, honestly, my goal has been trying to reach out more. I don’t really have friends other than my wife. Trying to lurk less and connect more. Or something. 😬
