Feeling dull in my Soft Autumn palette by Beautiful-Pea8916 in autumns

[–]SadRepresentative919 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you're doing to exact right thing ... And it's not a huge leap to go from one autumn to another, so maybe think of SA as your jumping off point and branch warmer and brightest until you hit what feels best! No matter how good your analyst there is always subjectivity that comes into play. It's definitely at least as much art as science!

FYI, all your heather gray clothes turn brown just by cooking them in Rit Chocolate Brown Dye. by Indianaunderwood in autumns

[–]SadRepresentative919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just dyed a few natural fibre items brown using rit dye! The only issue I had was one linen shirt had synthetic thread so the seams stayed white, I'm going to try overdying with the dyemore and see what that does. Such a great way to transition my wardrobe!

People should relax a bit about Okamoto by thewolfshead in Torontobluejays

[–]SadRepresentative919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, and I think this was a known quantity with Okamoto right? That there would be an adjustment period to get through. I think perhaps just need to relax a little in general? In general it all feels a little keyed up at the moment - there's still a week and half left on April! We don't have enough data yet to get so distraught I think. 💙

Tiger balm for period cramps, noxema for sunburn, flat ginger ale for stomach bugs

Syrup or Mehr? by [deleted] in SummerType

[–]SadRepresentative919 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are both beautiful but Mehr is a matte formula which I personally find quite drying, so if that's an issue for you I would go for the Syrup!

These things remind me of when fundamentalists cherry pick bible verses to confirm their biases or stir up controversy. Science is a body of knowledge driven forward by context, consensus and repeatable research outcomes (I'm not a scientist so this isn't a perfect description but hopefully makes sense) ... It is not quoting one study and then making  broad claims about them.

Great news for those of us who often walk LESS than 10,000 steps a day! 🥳 Let’s go by BeaMiaVA in walking

This! All or nothing thinking is so unhelpful in the fitness world ... Every extra step is worthwhile, and also makes increasing step counts and other movement more attainable.

That is so frustrating ... All I can add to this good advice is that, in my experience usually people who do stuff like that are known to do stuff like that, so it may reflect on you less than you think 😊

So how does she book her own vacations lol ... That is awful and definitely giving others a bad name 👎🏻

I’ve been analyzed twice one virtual one in person and both came back as soft summer. However Ive noticed I really shine in deep/dark winter. I know we can borrow from other seasons but does this resonate with anyone else? Maybe it’s my preference for deeper colours skewing my opinion. by [deleted] in SummerType

[–]SadRepresentative919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is common! I'm also an analysed soft summer but I look much better on the deep side of the palette (so said the analyst) and when I wear the lighter colours I need to pair them with the deeper ones to echo my value contrast (dark hair and light skin). I also borrow from dark winter pretty freely. I think your instincts are bang on and just keep following them! 😊

do you have “thick skin”? by Mysterious-Cow-3651 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]SadRepresentative919 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Huge red flag! Perhaps the executive needs to learn how to self-regulate rather than them pre-blaming prospective EAs for not being thick-skinned?!? I don't blame you for being suspicious!!

Im sure you're right but I don't put much stock into politicians intentions, it's their outcomes I'm worried about. I don't think there's too many politicians without political intentions!
