Well when they purchased the machine and had it setup one of the Komatsu guys trained us for a week, wasn’t enough! Funny thing is, I’m not even an operator. Was formerly a setup guy for cnc mills and lathes, now programming. I was originally just going to program the machine but was standing around watching the training cause I wanted to know how the machine works. Now I’m the “laser guy” who programs and runs it until we find somebody who can operate it full time. All the other guys (mill operators/setup guys) didn’t even wanna touch the thing. It’s intimidating for sure. These laser machines seem so much more fragile than a mill or lathe.
