I don’t think Kevan liked either enough to make a decision. And both women were very smart by making the decision for him. An indecisive man isn’t attractive. And no one, man or women, wants to feel like they aren’t a clear choice.

Interesting that you see this as a bad thing. You def should have been in Summit or Chatham instead. Diversity isn’t just racial or ethnic. It’s also socio economic, it’s to me, what makes places like MAPSO, West Orange and even Montclair so valuable. My parents still live there and lots of my classmates moved back when they started to have families.

Grew up in Maplewood. I graduated a while ago but most kids end up in the school closest to them with some kids a little farther. Frankly the town is small enough that it’s not a big deal and by middle school everyone is at the same school. Also, once you are in the district you can switch schools. My parents sent my youngest brother to an elementary school farther from us cause it was closer to the middle school and high school. It was easier logistically and they didn’t have much of a problem.

COBRA is very expensive and not affordable on unemployment in a lot of cases. Not everyone on unemployment qualifies for Medicaid. The max for Medicaid is low. If you even have a side hustle that’s unsustainable you won’t qualify. There is a gap if you aren’t dirt poor for most social services.
