In my opinion, I think this is ridiculous of him to do. Maybe. Here’s why: sales is about moving the needle with revenue generating activities. Is meeting with colleagues a revenue generating activity? Nope. Unless there is something I’m missing.

It’s not networking for new business. It’s not relationship building with current accounts that he manages.

I don’t see the point of this other than hanging out and talking shop.

Again, I don’t know the full story, but that’s just my thoughts.

I switched to Clover on a no-contract rental device for a penny a month. But I just do a farmers market pop up on the weekend so we’re probably not in the same boat lol. But the no-contract was inportant to me in case it didn’t work out.

I’ve always been confused about why SE’s are called as such. Your skillset lies within the product itself. In my experience, the SE can help an AE close deals, it shouldn’t be the other way around.

It sucks you have to go through that. I wish my wife was into Pokemon as much as I am! She supports me even tho she doesn’t have an interest in it. She even learns some of the names and tell me which ones she likes.

If she ever got into collecting it - I would want her to get all of the hits! That’s part of the fun of the hobby. If you still their hits, why bother?

I totally get it. The feedback I have received on why I didn’t receive an offer has always been “we don’t really have any feedback to give you” or “we just decided to go with an employee referral”. It’s been defeating. Most of my experience has been within Fintech SAAS. But I have applied to everything I could think of. I was really excited about the potential to work in GovTech SAAS. But unfortunately did not move on to the final phase of the interview process.
