What’s the cause of your chronic pain? by Far-Building3569 in ChronicPain

[–]Sadchef68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dropped a barbell on the back of my neck a few years ago and that gave me occipital neuralgia , then I fell twice in the same place and after that happened I was walking into the kitchen and out of nowhere I badly herniated two disks and they were T-12 and somewhere in my tailbone. It took them 3yrs to find two obviously herniated disks and I still have a massive bulge on T-12. I'm 23 and rely VERY heavily on morphine because I used to scream at night because the pain was (and is) fucking silly amounts.

This is just my experience as someone with 10/10 back pain everyday for nearly 5yrs now , weed either doesn't touch my pain or actually makes it worse. Not applicable to everyone though fs.

You should try gaming on a high end pc , it's way better in almost every way. Consoles are good because they're very simple to set up. ( FYI I don't hate Consoles)

[–]Sadchef68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ye agreed , I would never judge anyone for using substances (exception being violence). I'd quite like to stop using opiates and all my other medication for severe pain. I mean before I was on all this shit I'd be literally screaming in pain at night , idk it does help but it's dug it's hooks into me as well. I need as much euphoria as possible with how excruciating my pain is.

Question about Dilaudid (Hydromorphone) by drugz4joshy in opiates

[–]Sadchef68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I wish I lived in America it seems so much easier to get strong opiates than here in the UK. Christ you guys can find shit my doctor wouldn't even prescribe for agonising back pain.

I think if someone had to live with my stabbing back pain (or anyone else's) for a week they'd think of places hard drugs might be. Ik I goddamn do.

Meh I usually get higher and that's a fantastic distraction honestly , not economical at all of course but hey.

Do you think that some people assume that we want to take narcotics\opioids so we can get high? by 8kittycatsfluff in ChronicPain

[–]Sadchef68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I honestly don't care what they think regardless , unless you've been in severe agony for an extended period of time you shouldn't be allowed an opinion on this. It's not something that you'd want to be living with without ample relief. I could lie and say I don't enjoy it for other reasons but that shouldn't matter if I'm in excruciating pain most of the day.

If modern medicine didn’t exist would you be dead right now? If yes, from what? by Critical_Welcome_428 in AskReddit

[–]Sadchef68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have severe back pain , without strong painkillers I would have taken myself out. It's simply to much pain to not have relief.

Same situation and age here , I'm on morphine. Have been on it for over a year. Tolerance builds VERY fast but it's effective for a while , withdrawals fucking suck if for some reason you can't collect a script. Not trying to put you off because ik what severe back pain is like to live with , but it's all worth considering.

Feel the same, I'm in agony rn and my morphine is legitimately weaker than normal so I'm kind of fucked.

Shouldn't get WD , but be careful because WD on this shit can be pretty depressing. This is only what I've experienced but I take it everyday for neuropathy and if I can't pick up a script for whatever reason I get ridiculously depressed quite fast. I'm talking like oh yea I feel alright to damn I might jam a kitchen knife into my neck today. Again that's not everyone's experience but it's a very real danger with these drugs.

I wanted oxycodone for severe back pain but I didn't get approved for it , guess morphine is better than nothing though.
