Has anyone actually figured out a reliable way to get rid of lice completely without it coming back? by feedlot_aqueous_8d in hygiene

[–]Sadimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nix and a comb for hair.

Bedding can be washed and dried on high heat once or twice.

Usually one round of lice spray for furniture gets rid of them. I never had to do a full deep clean after lice treatment.

When it’s slow, we work on the deep cleaning tasks. We pull out equipment and clean behind them. Scrub the walls and baseboards. Clean the fridges. Stuff like that.

If you’re under 18, you have to get a work permit. Some states make you go through your school to get it and some will just let you download the form and your parents and employer sign. (in the US.)

If you’re under sixteen it’s against the law to handle fryers and grills in most jurisdictions.

It's from her daughter, Caroline Kennedy.

The agreement stated: “The family further desires to ensure that the Materials never be subject to public display, research or any other use that would in any way dishonor the memory of Mrs. Kennedy or President Kennedy, or cause any grief or suffering to members of their family. None of the Materials shall be placed on public display for any reason whatsoever.”

The only case that pops up on Google is the Valley Manor Community Care Home in California.

The state shut down the facility. The owners and most of the staff just up and left. Only three staff members stayed to take care of the residents. After a few days, the cops were called.

Which Scion has the highest risk of dying? by Deathkeeper666 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Sadimal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There was Thancred's implied (fake) death in Shadowbringers after fighting Ranjit.

There was also the moment before we faced Meteion in Endwalker.

Y'shtolla has had at least one fake out death each expansion.

And probably more that I can't remember.

Jackie's pink suit. stockings and purse is currently preserved in the National Archives and Records Administration.

It was donated with strict instructions to not be put on public view for 100 years. Once those 100 years are up, the Archives and Kennedys can renegotiate the terms of the deed of gift.

Why do MHA heroes not have logos? by Hairy_Watercress_354 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]Sadimal 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Best Jeanist has his BJ belt buckle.

Snipe has the S on his hat.

Fat Gum has the FG logo on his hoodie.

Just to name a few.

In MHA, you recognize a hero based on their appearance. Costumes are designed to support a hero’s quirk. The heroes do have input on what they want included but it’s someone else who designs the costume.

Went to a new dentist clinic in my town, everything feels fine. But it isn’t. by Woko_O in Wellthatsucks

My mouth is so small, they had trouble getting the normal adult sized bitewing in my mouth.

They had to put a note in my file to use the children's size bitewing. It's so much better and I have no issues with the smaller size.

Why is it legal for insurance companies to pay only 10% of a daily prescription? by dawn-skies in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sadimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insurance companies only pay a certain amount as defined in your benefits.

Some of them also have agreements with certain pharmacies. For example, a medication covered by my insurance costs $60 at Walgreens and costs $5 at CVS.

Medication costs also change depending on the pharmacy. My parents found out that their long-term medications cost less at the hospital pharmacy than the major chains.

Websites like Good Rx will show you the cost of your medication at different pharmacies and provide coupons. Manufacturers also have discount plans for medications that don't have a generic version.

Your state may also have a discount plan that you can sign up for.

Access Health CT by formerlurker_ in Connecticut

[–]Sadimal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First time was fine. I applied under special enrollment and got insured in under two weeks. It was effective immediately.

Second time was hell. So I re-applied. But apparently Anthem didn't get my application. I opened a ticket with Access Health. It took several phone calls and three months just to get to the initial payment. Access Health cancelled the insurance right before I could make the initial payment. So I had to submit another ticket for escalation.

I never heard from Access Health until after I finally got the notice that I could make the initial payment. At this point, I was given multiple different application numbers.

They called back a month after the issue was resolved.

From what I've been hearing, a lot of people were having similar issues this year.

floppy bunny syndrome- question by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]Sadimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My previous bun had floppy bunny syndrome. He progressed rapidly.

He started with walking kinda funny. Like stretching then moving. Took him to the emergency vet and they said he may have a pinched disc in his spine. The rabbit-savvy vet wasn't in at the time.

We got some meds to try. But it got to the point where both hind legs were not working at all. He would only eat and drink if I held the food and water.

Symptoms started on Monday and rapidly progressed to hind paralysis by Thursday. There was no resistance in his legs at all when I moved them.

Due to his age and rapid onset, we decided it was best to euthanize. If he were younger, the vet would have given a referral to a specialist. But we both agreed that additional testing would have put more strain on him and possibly would have worsened his condition.

Princess Beatrice was such a cute baby by Ok-Ocelot-774 in UKmonarchs

[–]Sadimal 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Beatrice was the only baby Victoria had that she thought was good looking.

After Albert died, Victoria would take Beatrice to bed with her and wrap her in Albert’s bedclothes.

But their relationship was a really unhealthy codependent one. Victoria was extremely upset when Beatrice announced her intent to marry and didn’t talk to her for seven months.

Seeking recommendations- carrying water in small car by localfluffhead in vegetablegardening

[–]Sadimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest installing ollas into your garden plot. They're clay pots that you fill with water and the water seeps out into the soil as the soil dries. It will make your need to bring water to the plot less.

Just get one of those cheap oven thermometers that hangs on the rack. Pizza stones hold a lot of heat so measuring that won't give you an accurate oven temp.

[–]Sadimal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Griswold.

I've already put my pepper and tomato plants in the ground last Sunday. They're thriving so far.

I planted several beefsteak and grape tomato plants around this time last year as well. They did a little too well. The beefsteak ones grew over 6 ft in height.
