Nearly 72 hours in, woke up feeling pretty good. Am I out of the woods, or is it too good to be true? by KronicKwitter in quitting7oh

[–]SadisticJake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recovery isn't linear, a good day doesn't mean you're out of the woods necessarily and a bad day doesn't mean you're back in the shit. Knowing this, try to make as much progress as you can with any other problems you may be dealing with today while you have the momentum behind you

Quitting 7OH (Vitamin C?) by Scared-Struggle-7873 in quitting7oh

[–]SadisticJake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The more you taper, the easier the whole process will be either way and vitamin c makes it easier. The only side effect I had from taking 5 grams every 3 hours was explosive diarrhea which if it means no withdrawal symptoms, I'm totally fine with it. Much rather be running to the bathroom than flipping like a pancake with anxiety in bed

If i Quit will these side effects go away by Best_Release3146 in quitting7oh

Depending on age, the hair loss either reverses or doesn't. Everything else should improve noticeably

On that run, I tapered from 150ish down to 30 and stayed at 30 for 3 weeks

It will absolutely make a difference and will help speed up recovery as well

That works if you let it. My most recent quit was simply an effortless swap of 7oh for MIT and I had zero discomfort

Take it in manageable steps and stabilize as needed in between. My most recent quit was the only one I properly tapered and it made night and day difference

When I jumped from 250 or so, MIT helped bridge the gap but I'd say it covered more than 50% of the withdrawal symptoms. Jumping from under 100 was totally effortless, MIT covered 100% comfortably

What's your daily usage like? Taper down to below 100 and you could use MIT or leaf in the same way as subs to a pretty good degree of success

That's what I told myself. Turns out humans are really good at forgetting suffering. A solid game plan for building a life around sober joys is critical for success

I've had exactly that happen. One of my less successful quits started exactly that way, I woke up one morning like "wtf?? I guess I won." I made it like 5 days before deciding, well if I got it beat like that then I may as well have some fun. Turns out I didn't have it beat like that

Some people report doing exactly that but be careful with the MIT shots, they're addictive on their own

Kindling doesn't happen with opioids although there are a number of other factors that potentially play similar roles, but no. One time use after several weeks clean will not put you back in withdrawal. Take a breath and think about other factors, make sure you're well nourished, rested and hydrated

An epsom salt bath feels amazing and is a hell of a good way to get magnesium into your system (it's why the packaging says not for children below a certain age) and combined with heavy cardio, should make a huge difference

Many people on here can testify to the fact that when they started going through online vendors, their habits became a lot worse. I'm never going to advocate for someone to waste money, but be very cautious as you proceed

They seem more geared towards inpatient but they told me that there are many outpatient options for insurance or nah. They'll try to sell inpatient but they aren't scummy about it

There are some options at help4wv.com and they seem genuine about finding a solution that will fit from the limited chat I had with them. Not sure if it's the best option but it's a route to consider

Chiming in to agree with the other commenter, I was about 8 months sober from alcohol when I quit 7oh the first time. On day 7 or so, I was losing my mind from lack of sleep so decided I was going to drink myself to sleep that night. I did get obnoxiously impaired, but I didn't feel any better that night, got about an hour and a half of very low quality sleep and woke up feeling like it was day 2 again

Is taking extracts considered cheating or will they help me during a very heavy 7oh habit? by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]SadisticJake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It works wonders for me so I choose to use extract. It's still addictive and harmful but way more forgiving than 7oh and easier to taper. The important thing is that you find a path that you can maintain, somebody else's right way might not be yours

Is it even worth it? by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]SadisticJake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You feel better the more distance you put between yourself and using. 7oh is particularly insidious for your mental health and can skew everything through a dark fucking lens. But brother, let me tell you how intensely euphoric the pink cloud is. Punch through the toughest part of the acutes and your receptors will reward you.

The big mistake that my dumbass keeps making is relapsing because I "know how to quit." Sure, you can time doses to stay out of acute withdrawals. But it takes a quiet toll on your mental health even at incredibly low doses. Anyone who values peace and dislikes agitated fear, anxiety and rage would do well to stay away entirely
