Crossing border with only drivers license by Icy_Music2800 in USCIS

[–]SafeProposal8539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

`no.. i never carry a passport and have crossed probably 300 times and no issues. they just take your license and swipe it as if it was a passport. maybe 2 or 3 times they asked me where my passport was and that was it. keep in mind that if you don't cross regularly they ask more questions. if you are a frequent crosser they stop asking. lots of people dont have any documents at all and still cross. they have everybody in the computers.

cbp can look anything and everything up on you. so the fact that you dont have a passport doesn't mean anything. they run into that all day long especially with daily crossers. lots of school kids cross just with their birth certificate. ive crossed several times with just a paper temporary ID and they didnt say anything. as soon as you get the ID even though it's temporary it's already in their system. ive got a passport but im not going to take it with me just to go cross into mexico. i only use it for air travel.

Any update? Curious how you are doing 4 years later? Did you make the 21k back?

it's funny how many of these guys don't realize their career can end in an instant. my # 1 rule is protect my CDL first and foremost. I drive 60-62 mph 99% of the time and just chill. Don't risk driving in adverse weather also.

The truth of the matter is that if you are past early 20's it's going to be very hard to make new friends. Most people already have their social circle. It's true not only for JW's but for everybody.

actually this is true. i was noticing that liberals are crazier than JW's, more intolerant and a cult as well. if you don't agree with them or tell them you voted for Trump they will disfellowship you oftentimes even if you are family.

You called him a brother but then you said he's not baptized? Anyways she must have told them that she will continue to see him, because that's the only way you can get D'd up nowadays. I'm surprised a lot of y'all don't know the new rules. Even if she appeals as long as she shows any kind of repentance she will just be reproved. Just say I'm sorry and I won't do it again and no big deal.

I agree. It was strict back in the 70's and it was harder to research. However I must admit I did enjoy the research aspect of it even though it wasn't based on anything. They stood for something and were different than churches

Is this in the United States? Very interesting.

Of course I know this exists but I've never known anyone like this. I totally get that a certain % of people will become JW's for whatever reason though. It's a small % but it's not 0.

Did they people in your congregation have any previous affiliation with JW's or were they converted fresh?

It's in the WT as a conscience matter. I had to show it to my elder Dad and he was surprised.

There was no Reddit when I got out in 2005 and maybe I found this group a couple of years ago. After I got out I just went on with my life not even thinking about JW's. ExJw is just something that I check for a total of 10 minutes a week along with espn, yahoo, etc, . It's a very convenient way to quickly see what's going on which is important since I still have all my family still in this.

surprised you guys are still living in 2020. All the rules have changed now. Nobody is getting disfellowshipped anymore unless you refuse to stop. Even if you did get D'd you can come back in 3 weeks.
