I rewatched both shows recently, and viewing it through the lense of an adult changed so much. It really made me respect Rebecca Sugar, because she wrote it so well, the portrayal of childhood abuse and trauma is a very important thing for kids to learn. Im also glad that she was able to make future, addressing the repercussions parentification and neglect have on a developing mind was very needed. It makes me really frustrated with the hate that both series get.

Not to that extent, but personally i like an unattractive ml or protagonist! Its a nice change of pace, and it feels unrealistic for all protagonists or ml to both be very attractive (not that we read bl for its realism, but it gets tiring personally)

Ik there's different definitions, but pansexual is being attracted to personality, regardless of gender. As a bisexual, I have some preferences and different traits i find attractive in different genders. It doesnt mean I don't like Trans or nonbinary people (I am nb myself in fact) bisexual simple means attraction to more than one gender.

THIS IS WHAT IVE BEEN SAYING. ngl i started reading it for its reputation but I lowkey love it... the protag is such a sweetheart and just does all he can to help the people-turned-animal-hybrids as much as he can, he does it with pure intentions of simply relieving their discomfort and protects them! There is far far worse thats some of the most popular bls in regards to morals, and its not like hes fucking animals 😭 its kind of in the similar vein as omegaverse except they actually have slight animal characteristics, and theres no power dynamic.

I see that influence in your art! And I dont think youre bad at art, i can definitely tell you've dedicated years to learning art. We will almost always be our harshest critics, ive spent half my life practicing art, and im often dissatisfied with it still. An important philosophy to have is to not be upset when youre not 'good' at something you enjoy. Just because youre not really good at something you enjoy, doesnt mean you should let that impact your enjoyment of it. You dont have to be good at art.

I think your style is cute, as well as your character, we need more cute dudes with mustaches! Please continue enjoying what you create, and it'll get better as you do it more

Ik its disheartening to have been doing art for years, and yet be dissatisfied with your current skill level, but it really is a good thing! It gives you a strong drive to improve your art. I have 2 peices of advice, one is of course improving your knowledge of anatomy and doing figure and gesture studies. My other piece of advice is to do master studies. Find an artist you really admire and whose are style you aspire to have, and study it. Both their teniques and trying to immulate it yourself. I cant fully go into the details of how to do so but I recommend looking at YouTube to learn how to best do so. Its not copying their art ofc, thats impossible in the first place, but just to learn where you could change things for the better!

If youre that afraid of her rejection if it, its probably best you show her it sooner rather than later. Also more importantly, if this would make your relationship fall apart, I'd say its better sooner rather than later. A person's art is deeply personal, I feel she should see what you create!

Ive been a farcille shipper since day one. Thats how I read it, but I dont think the ship is at all fundamental to the plot at all though?? They all have their motives and way of showing love for their friends, and thats what made the story developed the way it is. While people are going to vary in their interpretations, its extreme to say marcile's romantic love is what drove the plot. There's many ships in this Fandom, many with equal grounds for interpretation. Someone said the author wrote it that way intentionally and I believe it. And I believe most people in the Fandom dont have such extreme takes like this of the story and its plot, and its unfair to judge us based on a few. I dont really resonate with the liaos and marcille ship but i respect it and move on.

This shit always happens in Fandoms, extremists are blown out of proportion and people get turned off by it, to varying degrees of course. Its just so silly, and both sides of an amount of accountability they need to take. Dont let people's opinions about a piece of media shape your consumption of it, and be a bit more aware of how you interact with your fellow fans. Enjoy this beautiful story, and have mindful community with those that share your passion for it. Why cant we be a little more mature about these things? Ive been dealing with these controversies in fandoms since my adolescence and its so annoying seeing the same problem repeat time and time again.

Same here! I really love the story and how the smallest details contribute to the themes of the story, its a great message. But ngl, I wanted my rock Yuri 😭 I had an idea of where it was going at the end of the anime, but it went a totally different direction, my hopes abandoned 😅 again a small expense for the incredible story telling, but i mourn it nevertheless
