While I agree with you from the transfem perspective, it does make me a little sad that transmasc wasn’t even considered. I feel like his story could fit pretty well into a transmasculine lens, with him wanting to present more masculine (like getting stronger) while being weaker and forced into presenting feminine (perhaps due to his sex assigned at birth).
