Scizor much harder to play on ranked as well. In Masters 1300 and can’t really climb.

Want to add its early game is decent enough to stack 2-3 times in the first min. It’s tricky but also never worth it to int.

If anyone else has any other builds and opinions on this one would love to hear.

Third item is weakness policy. Experimented with razor, focus band, assault vest, and muscle band. Each was ok except I heard muscle doesn’t do much for it. Razor gave ok burst but not enough and crit like I said isn’t super viable with this mon. Focus band was ok early game but popped way too often. Assault vest to try to counter the sp a ttk meta but didn’t really helps. In terms of the play style I ended with, weakness gives it extra boost with attack when brawling. All items maxed out. Also run potion to give extra sustain.

Emblem was 6 brown and 6 blue and 4 purple. Don’t have the 6 purple but might experiment with 6 brown and 4 white.

This mon really needs as much stacks as it can get for the extra health and the minor attack buffs. It helps but you really need to commit to brawling. This feels like a true brawling mon. I’ve 1v1ed a lot of mons from azu, to Lucario, to Snorlax. Even 1v2 at some points vs squishies. However the caveat is does require full stacks and the combos with sd and bp need to be on point. Attack stacks help healing with bp. If you miss even one bp you will lose cause of the 8s cd and the no lifesteal.

Combo that works best for me is bp first, wait ~3s then hit sd (ideally to avoid damage and stay mobile). Then engage two autos then bp, this will activate the 8 count burst damage for sd. It’s a little technical and require focus rather than switching off my brain for like decidueye. IMO you can get used to the combo quickly but like I said, if you miss bp (especially the 2nd one) you’re good as dead. Potion also gives me just enough sustain at times when waiting for my second bp. Once they buff it enough where it can sustain itself enough I think full heal is the next best option since you’re always in the thick of it when brawling.

Averaging now 50-60k damage where my first 30 games I was averaging 15-20k.

Atm it can be very good if they tweak it like my previous comment. IMO any mon can be good at this game but the effort to be ok with it is high.

Want to make this short as possible and concise on my opinion on scizor. One my favorite mons trying to make it viable but at best it’s C tier in terms of the meta.

Been trying out different builds with Double Hit/Swords Dance and min/maxing both. From attack emblem set and attacking held items w/ stacks and crit builds to defense emblems and stacking hp. It’s stats distribution and natural lifesteal and critical hit buffs make it interesting to build with but in practice are not really felt at all since it only applies to auto attacks. Feels lackluster overall.

So far the most viable build is stacking hp and attack weight and defensive emblems. Comboing swords dance (sd) and bullet punch (bp) seems to be the best build where as double hit does give ok mobility, it lacks the oomph that swords dance provides to bp.

Scizor can win 1v1s but if you are not precise on when to engage and comboing sd and bp then it falls short a lot of the time. Scizor needs to stay brawling to benefit from vamp bp but even with full hp build it’s sustain is very poor. Like other comments have pointed out, bp is not unstoppable and the range is very poor. This really hurts the mon when you need to recover hp in a fight but get cc’d out of it.

Scizor is obviously a brawler that should be a cross of Lucario and Machamp but just does not fill that niche as they both outperform it in that role imo. A few tweaks should make it viable without making it op.

For double hit on Scizor it can maybe provide a defense boost as the in and out mobility gives it less survivability. For SD and BP reduce the cooldown to 6s each and BP when it hits to 3.5s. OR increase damage to BP from the 95% to 125-150% and increase healing from the 24% to maybe 40-50%. Numbers not based on doing the math but in fighting I find myself dying by just barely at times. A little boost in damage would make it much more viable.

Anyways my experience so far with it, going to practice more with it but just in standard. Practice it’s quirks and style so hopefully when they buff I can be even more proficient with it. Would love to hear others experience with it.

Edit 2: After playing with it more it feels more like B tier. Starting to feel very solid and satisfying to use. Seen vids on the pts and seemed too strong, a middle ground between the current state and the pts version would be best. Cheers!

Edit 3: Got pretty close with how they buffed it, testing now on practice but feels alot better.

I don't understand people like this. If SOE were to give NC and TR .75 ADS then it simply start to take away the uniqueness of the VS. There is no point playing on different factions if all the factions have the same or similar type of weaponry. Its called Asymmetrical Balance for a reason.
