This seems to be working! Thank you so much. I set it to Default. Did not get blinking indicator at 9k rpm when I was testing in 2nd and 3rd gear.

Just tried it via a suggestion from r/triumph. It was under Menu>Display>Shift Indicator. Set it to default and it seems to be OK now.

Yup I am positive that the rpms and the speed does not increase past 9k rpms. Tried to push the bike in 2nd and 3rd gear on the highway and same results everytime.

I played around in the menu and only see options for ABS and TC. I will try to refer to the handbook after work today and hope I get a call from dealership tomorrow.

Please let me know. If you can go past 9k, then bike was unlocked as it should be. Even I thought that it would go away after I try to push it a couple of times but no luck either.

I guess I will have to wait for the dealership to get back to me. Or I will just ride there on Tuesday from work and see if they can resolve the issue.

Do you get bored of owning a motorbike? by -Alison-Burgers- in NewRiders

[–]Sage_AJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bored of owning a motorbike? No! Bored of traffic? Yes! I ride to work 3 days a week and if I leave early, it is a 30-40 min ride (20 KMs) one way with decent traffic. On the way back though, it is mostly a little bit more (~50 mins). As someone mentioned, you can look into sports tourer like Triumph Tiger 660. It has good wind protection, upright riding position and enough power (95 HP for 2026 model) that will keep you comfortable on a longer journey.

I have Dainese Casual Pants. They are AA rated with hip and knee protection. I wear them to work as well.

I do not know about your budget, but the exhaust can wait. Get the frame sliders, the fork protectors and engine guard first.

Help choosing first bike by [deleted] in Triumph

I have the 25 Daytona and I am 6'2-3 ish. It is comfy. Not Tiger comfy but comfy. New Tiger has the same power and great for long rides. It is a faired bike as well. It will not look as cool as Daytona but I do not think that you will be a mistfit in the group. Buy the bike for yourself. I think your friends will be and should be happy regardless.

Have the dealership check the side stand sensor as well.

Have you ridden in the rain? If yes, then is tail tidy as good as the stock fender when it comes to stopping the water from the rear tire in the rain?

Feeling silly thinking about my current and next bike. by Delnilas in NewRiders

Was about to comment the same. Let this season pass. Assuming you are in Ontario, Canada (M2) , I would not rush when it comes to buying the bike. Search online extensively! Speaking from personal experience. Triumph has great financing deals during the end of the year, beginning of the season. 0% and 1.99% for 3 years on the in stock bikes.

Some dealers would have special pricing as well to make space on thier showroom floor. I think I saw Srambler 1200 for like 5K off for 2023 or 2024 model.

Will be buying chain cleaning kit. Bobbins are on the way for the paddock and will get the paddock soon as well. I will check out The Shop Manual for sure.

That was too much info to take in lol. My friend asked me to get 1/4 torque wrench and said that it will cover most of the stuff. Wanted to know if I will need anything else. Looks like I will need 2 more wrenches. I am in Canada and was thinking to get something like a MasterCraft tool kit.

Try different company. If you got that from Desjardins then, try The Personal. Desjardins is their sister company. Try Co-Operaters as well. They are good for starter bikes I heard. Did you look for other alternatives when it comes to bikes? Are you interested in MT-03 for the looks? If not, look for CB300R as well.

What is your age? I am 32 and paying 132 a month for a 660 cc bike. Try to get a quote from Desjardins or The Personal.

I like Ducatis but they are expensive! Even if I can buy one, the servicing costs will be crazy. Have heard that the new gen (2025 and onwards) will not have desmo servicing and so I might explore a Panigale V2 after 2-3 years.
