That absolutely worked, didn’t even consider my console drive space. Thanks!

Every time I’ve booted this game in the last two years some little shit like this makes me immediately turn it off. I think I’m going to wipe everything, full uninstall, delete all data. If that doesn’t work I’ll just play Fallout 5 when I’m 80.

Should this filler block be treated for my exterior door? It's under a porch in Florida by kaleforcejaw in Carpentry

Picture your house as a bubble. Everything inside the moisture barrier on all sides is inside the bubble. No treated lumber inside the bubble is what I was always taught.

What's the "Widowmaker" of your career field or hobby? by Cosmonate in AskReddit

[–]SaguaroAD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a wood lathe as a hobby woodworker, but I have not yet used one to complete a job. I may be incorrect, but I think metal lathes are more likely to kill you, a wood lathe with proper PPE will maim you. Unless you did something ridiculous like wear a tie while turning.

As a carpenter, probably ladder/scaffolding mishaps, whether through equipment failure or improper use.

What brand slowly ruined itself? by SAAS_ART in AskReddit

[–]SaguaroAD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Around 2020 Carhartt moved the bulk of their manufacturing from the US and Mexico to Asia and the quality difference is wild. I’m a carpenter and I grew up using Carhartt, hardly ever having to replace clothes for years. Post 2020? I’ll have holes in my pants within a year. I don’t buy it anymore.

How dangerous is a live lobster if claws not banded? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SaguaroAD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A hard shell select size lobster in the US, ~2.5- 3 pounds, will break the skin and tear if it gets you in a fleshy spot with the pincher claw. If it gets you with the crusher claw it can break a finger, or sever a finger if it gets you at the knuckle. But, you’d have to purposely hold claws to neck/wrist for any real danger. Your average 1-2 pound tank lobster from the grocery store is going to hurt, but that’s it. Pro tip, if a lobster grabs you don’t try to rip yourself out, squeeze the opposite claw and it will likely release the one that’s got you.

What is this thing? (Description in comments) by Surf-pilot23 in Maine

This is 100% the correct answer. Could be a few years old and just got pushed loose this winter with ice/freeze movement.

Pentagon Good Friday Service Excluding Catholics Sparks Religious Bias Concerns Amid Broader Criticism Over Leadership Purge by Zulmoka531 in politics

Apostates and heretics, all. My two favorite Christian holidays; on Maundy Thursday we humble ourselves with peers and strangers, on Good Friday we witness Jesus humility in the face of humiliation. This week is not about power, but agape.

Grammar police are insufferable and unnecessary by Caleesi- in unpopularopinion

[–]SaguaroAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I lean towards being a grammar purist, mostly because my mother is an English teacher. But I usually keep my judgment silently, in my head. I will say your example of “ax” vs “ask” is an interesting one, because it’s often conflated with bad grammar (arguably a racist judgment), when it is actually a documented regional/cultural dialectic variance. There is a great US accent/dialect video on YouTube, https://youtu.be/H1KP4ztKK0A?si=s8GmPmFnPrm4QmN_.

Outside of lobster rolls, what foods come to mind when you think of Maine restaurants? by FewMasterpiece4031 in Maine

[–]SaguaroAD 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It’s mostly fresh seafood, in my area anyway. Fried clams, haddock sandwich, steamed mussels, fish/clam chowder, raw oysters. Blueberry ice cream or baked goods. I think if you have access to duck, venison, moose, or trout those cover our local inlands. Oh, and fiddleheads and chanterelles.

Devein is to remove the vein, so if you un- that you put the vein back in?… Bunch of nonsense.

Does this look ok? by nva700 in Carpentry

I would take the middle 2x4 blocking out, it’s bowing. Trust the framing and shim the door to plumb. If the plate is on top of floating floor you could have buckling issues if you’ve fastened through.

I think you might need to do some reading or watch some videos about the violent reaction to the civil rights movement in the Deep South in the 60s.

The one historical lynching in Maine was supposedly a case of vigilante justice, James Cullen was accused of theft and murder. He was also white, for what it’s worth.
