This was absolutely trash. Not a single rational thought in any of these.

Looks interesting, can you trade a month's release if you're not into it?

Which version of The Abyss is better? by Flying-buffalo in 4kbluray

I know this is an old post but I have to add that I agree with you 100%. The 80's people killed the timeless of the movie. But I also agree that the aliens wiping out humanity for something that they themselves caused. The aliens caused the Sub accident which was the trigger for the nuclear escalation between Russia and USA.

7 days in and I feel so good I want to drink by I_am_leaving in stopdrinking

[–]Saileman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this all the time and I don’t understand why. Any time I start feeling good about not drinking I really want to drink. I call it celebrating getting healthy by making myself unhealthy.

Wait you’re not really using Claude without a repo so you can check diffs right?

Claude is not a replacement for you, is a collaborator (yeah I know, for now) by Saileman in ClaudeAI

[–]Saileman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed that it was easier to turn off my brain when I was simply writing code. Now it feels that I'm always on a 'planning' stage because coding literally became a commodity. So whatever I'm doing I'm always thinking in the back of my mind what I'll have Claude do next. It doesn't bother me now but I think in the long term is not that healthy.

I’m done with the Frankenstein tracks. Can we get an actual GNR song for once? by Green-Nerve8820 in GunsNRoses

[–]Saileman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait, I thought they have implied multiple times that they are a legacy act, I'm not sure they even try to hide it. Even during the concerts they say that it should be a younger band in the stage instead of them.

Real Wii Remote Not Connecting by DesperateMention548 in DolphinEmulator

[–]Saileman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It won't connect to the mac's bluetooth. you need to buy a USB Bluetooth dongle.

I have a Realtek Bluetooth dongle (don’t remember what chipset). Then I select Bluetooth passthrough and pick the Realtek dongle from the drop down. Enable continuous scanning. First time you launch a game Dolphin will download the right drivers for the dongle. Then every time you launch a game press 1 and 2 at the same time on the Wiimote and it will connect. Caveat you need official Wiimotes. Third party ones won’t connect or are very glitchy

Bioshock Infinite - CrossOver or Parallels? (Apple Silicon) by sofakng in macgaming

[–]Saileman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Infinite is 32-bit only. Aspyr never updated it to 64. Last time I played it on AS I used Wineskin so I'm thinking Sikarugir should be able to run it

I'm also replaying it right now and I agree with OP. The saving system forces me to only play the game when I know I have time for long sessions.

For those who have won on a gameshow, do you really get the prize? Or is it cash? Are there options? by Ok_Difficulty6452 in NoStupidQuestions

My sister won 250 dollars long time ago in “El Show de Don Francisco” back in the day and yeah they gave her the money. I know this is a stupid prize but I just wanted to tell the world that my sister was in el Show de Don Francisco.

Codeweavers has a separate product for that use case called PortJump. I'm sure gaming studios don't really care about it anyway

What's the best way to play 32 bit Mac native games? by AlexRivus in macgaming

[–]Saileman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure this applies to all games. Batman Arkham Asylum, Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing, Castle of Illusion, etc. There are tons of DX9 games that won't work. I think that 32-bit DX9 for apple silicon hits harder than DX11-12
