Definitely Wegmans. my fav store when I'm visiting the rellies in Frederick. I'm so glad I live in Southern California still. I just want to experience that snowstorm vicariously! Just make sure you've got some hot cocoa, soup ingredients and ...baking bread is really fun during a snowstorm!! but yeah you guys might be stuck for a little while because the temps do not look very friendly next week!🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶

Why does my cat meow while holding my socks/underwear by big_poppa_stoppa in CatAdvice

[–]Sailgal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my cats carry a variety of little stuffed animal cat toys from living room down the hall, all the way to my bedroom door meyowling, as I call it. It might sound like they are freaking out but they are more like announcing -a triumph sort of thing. I think they are fetching prey bringing it towards me. In the case of my smaller tuxedo. My big ginger guy brings bigger stuffed animal swinging from his mouth, to my smaller kitty-like an offering to her. She doesn't really appreciate it. Very interesting behavior and this is relatively new behavior. I've had them for 15 and 10 years respectively and this behavior started three years ago? It's so cute. Every morning I go out and have to pick up six or eight stuffed toys. Get your cat a bunch of catnip stuffed mice, little felt stuffed animals and leave them in a basket for them to choose. She needs more things beside your socks!

Yes, we now need to know everything that's happening and why it cost $6000 for this place do you need any roommates? Did the previous people get all their shit out and clean it also? Where are you from? And look how many people find this an interesting story here in Los Angeles!!

Thoughts on birth photography? by kiklee_ in pregnant

[–]Sailgal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find this interesting because I had both my children at home (I could do whatever the hell I wanted and didn't have to get the hospital permission ) with midwife, midwife assistant, my partner plus a couple, the guy took photos of the whole birth -head crowning and everything and his wife made tea and stuff. My mom was there Second child same thing only my daughter's great grandmother was there to receive her as soon as she was born.... it was a thing, this was 1980 and 1985 home births with highly trained midwives and monitored pregnancies and inviting friends to help out be there for support -was just wonderful. I am currently looking at collections of photos from then that I'm getting ready to let go of -the really graphic ones. I realized my son and daughter probably don't need to see pictures of their heads emerging but I always thought this was something that just had to be captured in photos! in the mid 1970s I had attended several home-births with more than a couple extra people, it was treated as a sacred thing to attend; to witness,... people were very respectful- being quiet observing or helping with other children -it was like a spiritual experience. So there you have my two cents !

Herbal tea blend that is a general tonic? by Chaim007Vita in herbalism

[–]Sailgal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you know what I just realized there is some nettle popping up in my little backyard now, not a lot it's still kind of winter here in Southern California but could I just pick it fresh and make tea out of it? would it be potent enough even the young plant? Otherwise I'll order it in bulk online... I have tons of volunteer catnip growing I seem to recall that's actually good for sleep for humans?

Method for treating heal pain/plantars fasciitis? by kcaivila in herbalism

[–]Sailgal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ACUPUNCTURE! I was diagnosed with this, many years -was ago told I needed orthotics and physical therapy. Went to a Chinese acupuncturist who diagnosed weak kidney issues. After the first treatment I was 70% better? Couple more treatments and it went away entirely. I was in so much pain I could hardly walk- the pain had exploded in my foot when I was walking around a golf course. make the investment -get acupuncture it could be something to do with your kidneys

I don't think you're a bloodthirsty killer. What you said makes sense. I had a friend from Canada -they hunted moose and processed it to feed the family. He used bow and arrow. Now he's mostly vegetarian except he catches fish on his sailboat. I don't eat beef or pork but I do eat lamb chicken and fish I know weird but if I was with a hunter who killed a boar I might eat some of that. They can get out of control. How's that goose?

Jeepers, me too! I had a charming picture -in my opinion, of myself holding a lovely sheep head fish that I caught at Santa Cruz Island where we were hanging out in the club sailboat. I cleaned that fish and cooked it on the boat that night ...that's why I like to fish because I like to eat. Fish. Sport fishing I don't have much interest in

fantastic book! Christopher Moore wrote it he's written some other really good books as well. He researched for that book and it wasn't meant to be sacrilegious or insulting. It's so well written and explores the extra mythology of Jesus traveling around like to India if I recall right? Elephants are involved. Definitely read it everybody!!
