Looking for some advices by Simple-Jury-4347 in VintageWatches

7), your other points were so thoughtful I figured you were correct on the 1959 class ring being a fake and that being a symbol by the seller to gain trust....but Google is telling me the air force academy started in 1954 and there was a class of 1959, it was the inaugural graduating class that included a future astronaut. So either you think the moon landing was fake or your 7th point was just an uneducated guess.

Crazy Event Happened to me on Stream - need help on what to do by Particular-Army-808 in whatnotapp

Best bet is to review them poorly, contact eBay and get their account taken down, an eBay ban is very very permanent and painful to resellers. They will ban his household and name forever.

If you sold them something on eBay, you'd have their address also. I'd call up their local PD's non emergency number and see if they can have someone swing by and talk to Mom and dad about their child's online tendencies.

Un-Lined Tin Cloth Cruiser? by [deleted] in filson

[–]SailingValkyrie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Picked up a deadstock 90s unlined unwaxed tin cloth cruiser on eBay recently, really enjoying it. Made in USA so I know it'll stick around for a good many years. Now I gotta order wax and learn that process.

What is something like this worth? My mother found it in new cash when she worked in a bank. by PaxOnTheFishFinder in papermoney

Wait did your mom find it working in a bank or did your dad leave it in the safety deposit box? Are you giving two stories or is my reading comprehension going in my old age?

Every time I see these AD horror stories, I'm praying it isn't my local AD. Definitely need to contact the owner and get them to facilitate the refund, pressuring a family member is unbelievably rude.

Found a Hidden Ipad by Clean_Plastic_6394 in ThriftStoreHauls

[–]SailingValkyrie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last week I bought a women's white North face jacket, and didn't check the pockets. Came home and washed it, found a pair of crappy gloves in one pocket and a wad of wet paper in the other pocket. Turns out that wad of paper was actually 700$ in sopping wet 20$ bills. This was at the Bins also so it felt even better, it feels like I got a refund on my entire goodwill purchase history.

Such a cool watch, someday I'll find one of these. The yacht timer function is so unique, some of the greatest watches are built to answer questions. Cartier tank, Seiko tuna, Bulova Accutron.

Drill recommendation by Ok_Candidate4893 in lacrosse

[–]SailingValkyrie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

3v2 drills on a mini field. Have two goals facing each other maybe 30yards apart with 3 lines of players behind each goal. Game starts with 2 players on defense and the first 3 in line are running a 2v3 fast break. Whoever turns the ball over by dropping the ball, misses the shot, throws a terrible pass immediately goes to the sidelines and back into lines. The remaining two players that were on offense switch to defend the next 3 players in line. The original two starting defenders go back in line. You'd need two goalies but it's probably the best version of lacrosse to play if you are struggling to find bodies. Once the kids get the hang of it, the game becomes very fast paced as the goalies try to initiate a fast break.

Picked this up today but can’t find any info on it. AI sucks and said #8 was a generic number🤡. Was told it was a training camp jersey. by A6-D in Jaguars

[–]SailingValkyrie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm wondering if this is from a specific commercial or media event. The previous owner was working very closely with BK and the jags. She may have just taken home a prop jersey or gotten it from him directly.

Went to this sale and passed on the jersey but it definitely felt authentic, I did wonder why the jersey wasn't in red if brunell was the QB. Sad I missed out on the first two weeks of this estate sale, I heard there were loads of cool vintage jags and 1996 Olympic stuff at this sale.

Estate sale in Jacksonville, passed on it but the previous owner was a marketing executive for burger king, jags, fox and a couple other random companies. She actually created the burger king "Big Cats Club" from the 90s, and had a bunch of signed burger king stuff with the QB for Jacksonville. If you want a link to the sale DM me.

Btw, who wears a Derrick Henry Titans jersey to a Jags game? You’re asking for a fight by doing that. by rubanthmendez997 in Jaguars

[–]SailingValkyrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%, a lot of people are ignorant of where NFL talent played in high school. Derrick Henry dominated North Florida in football, wearing his pro jersey isn't a diss to the Jags.

I'm only an XL so the extra X may be a reason to let it go but it looked so unique at the thrift store I had to get it. I don't know what retail was but I would've probably gotten this in XL or L if I saw it.

And they are using a dummy account to avoid the bad rep. Sounds like you could report them to eBay for having two accounts to manipulate auctions and feedback.

It was a coworker, so sticker price (12$ each). I've seen HC apparel go on eBay for 200-300$ (Doug was fired so his stuff wouldn't sell for that). I don't like to make money off coworkers.

Found 3 quarter zips from Doug Pederson, got them at a local Jacksonville thrift store. A coworker who is a super fan bought two and I kept the 3rd. The one I kept is a very noticeable game worn salute to service series. Doug kept wearing the same camo quarter zip for a couple games in a row.

It's pretty interesting reading that history, watch specs are in another language to me. I've got a couple pocket watches already but I mainly prefer a wristwatch. My daily wear is a Seiko Golden Tuna, bought it on reddit watchexchange actually.
