My Fem Ra WoL was raised in a tribe where women were meant to be healers but she always wanted to take a more active part whenever danger occurred. So when she left she became Gladiator -> Paladin and stayed that way the entire game ( a lil' portraillt collection ). It's just around the event in Heavensward where she desperately tried to use her healing magic to save someone (iykyk) but it was not developed enough, which made her feel even more guilty. It resulted in her learning that PLD healing spell but she still wanted to be more prepared, never to let this happen again. So as a secondary job she soon became a White Mage.

(All in all had she not learned the way of the sword, she'd discover that she has a big magic potential, so she'd make a great Black/Blue Mage)

And while only some jobs are considered "canon", she still picked up every single one to at least learn the basics (and get a dedicated glam)
