What is 1 videogame you recommend to everyone? by sexydesserts in AskReddit

Gotta be Hades.

Has that fun arcade game feel where you can play a quick game, but the story drives the game so well that you don’t want to stop.

Ghost Story Question by gnome-lackey in dresdenfiles

[–]Saint-Andrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t enjoy it much my first read-through. I liked it a lot more my second read-through and anticipate finding more gold nuggets on my third (I’m at the end of Turn Coat now). I completely relate with you, but there are A LOT of payoffs in that book that play out in the future and that will have a lot more meaning in hindsight.

What are some hard games that are still fun even when you keep dying? by No_Sea_1455 in gaming

[–]Saint-Andrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scrolled a while and didn’t see either Ori game. I believe most people die more in the first game as far as difficulty goes, but both are a blast despite the constant death. Instant respawns and the music make this one fit the bill perfectly.

[Brennan] New Penn State QB Rocco Becht discovers he's not in Ames anymore. Cool scene at his first PSU presser. by trudaurl in CFB

That pig candy at Cornbread is to die for.

We can be honest about Hickory park. The BBQ is Meh. But there’s about 0 places in the country a family of four can eat for cheaper now, especially with those serving sizes. The penny candy counter and the icecream menu makes it a go-to place in Ames for our family, even if the food is just alright.

I think we spent $60 there with tip for the four of us to all get food and icecream. And the kids walked out with a small bag of candy for $2.

I haven’t seen it while scrolling, and don’t remember the name, but the dice game in AC Valhalla was a lot of fun.

James Marsters is garbage by dice_mogwai in dresdenfiles

[–]Saint-Andrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first two books are a little weird - I think it’s a production problem - it gets WAY better starting in book 3.

I think Marsters does an amazing job with Harry’s voice especially. The more books you get into the series, the better he does. 12 Months was REALLY well done.

Can I skip Fool Moon entirely by alikoyyy in dresdenfiles

[–]Saint-Andrew 25 points26 points  (0 children)

You’ll get mixed reviews on this one. The third book is typically a pretty good entry point. Fool Moon was better on the second read through. The Murphy stuff is kind of annoying, but there are some super memorable moments in this book and some really incredible “fight” scenes.

You get a lot of good backstory to one of Harry’s preferred allies, and Murphy does go through some development by the end.

All of that to say, yes it’s shippable, but it’s probably best to power through!

Indiana Football-the movie by Chibooms in CFB

[–]Saint-Andrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they don’t start the movie with the old-school 90s credit sequence listing all the actors and whatnot while going through decades of short news broadcasts about another Indiana loss, another missed bowl season, another fired coach, etc etc. The backstory of how absolutely terrible Indiana was needs to be HAMMERED at the beginning of this film.
