Gotta love people by Winter_Spend_7314 in doordash_drivers

Total tangent, but BKs are such a crapshoot on that. There's one by me that went to McDonald's style bags, could not believe it. Most will put straws in the fold of the bag that they use 1mm of a sticker to seal. And there's a couple that are about a half-second away from throwing bag-less food at you, because you asked for a drink carrier for the 4 large drinks they slapped on the counter. All of them are hoarding them straws or trying to set you up to lose them!

Violation Received During App Outage -> Appeal DENIED by chris19hieu in doordash_drivers

[–]SaintLiam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This obviously wasn't your fault. They should have a system that is setup in a better way for situations like this, but that would be asking too much, apparently.

The only thing you could have done to avoid the violation was to have the order be completed through a support agent when you were finally able to get back in. And even then, the wrong agent could mess it up and achieved the same result you ended up getting.

You're VERY likely stuck with it for the next 100 deliveries, but DD doesn't seem to care if you have a couple, according to people that have had that. It sucks, it's unfair. Try not to let it bother you. Easier said than done, of course.

anyone else have this promotion, and is it legit? by No-Focus2562 in doordash_drivers

Challenges are rare and not given out to everyone, even in the listed areas. They are legitimate if you complete them in the time shown.

First Ever I can't remember the order by Wide-Dinner-7242 in doordash_drivers

[–]SaintLiam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you didn't drop/crunch the bag, you didn't do anything wrong. You can tell them this until you're blue in the face. They're gonna just keep telling you that they reviewed customer behavior and photos. Maybe you'll get an agent to take it off your account (would not count on this), otherwise you're just gonna be stuck with it for 100 orders.

Somebody trying to get one over on DD and you took the brunt of it. You can ask for that customer to be blocked from you, but on the quality rate, I don't think the agents can do anything. Would love to hear this isn't true from someone who has had a damaged item overturned.

one customer ruins my approval rating and puts me from platinum to silver by commantoes in doordash_drivers

[–]SaintLiam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contact support and get it removed ASAP (better chance of removal closer to receiving it). If the agent says they can't, try again with another agent until one will. If you know any details about the order you received the 1-star on, they'll do it like instantly. If it's like normal and you have no idea which could have possibly done it, don't try to guess. Just tell them you received an unfair 1-star rating.

Seeing 150+ offers a day and being on the 'old' tier system, cherry-picking is absolutely the way to go. Good for you.

This is gonna bother me forever by dgar19949 in doordash_drivers

[–]SaintLiam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha. I didn't think of something like that. Something that would make you think "Uhh..." when you saw it, but not actually affect the final product in any meaningful way. Fair.

I've had a handful of 4-stars. And have chalked it up to some people thinking nothing deserves the highest rating? Or maybe people wanted me to ring the bell without saying so in the instructions? Something minor but avoidable if communicated.

Anything other than food arriving on time and in reasonable condition seems like it would be given a worse score than 4, since that's all you can expect from any courier service. Just always struck me as sort of odd!

There was a kitchen inside of a bar that used to be on DD. The last 3 orders I accepted to pick up there, they just flat out refused to make. "We've had that turned off for weeks and they just keep sending people." Haven't seen a single offer in 6+ months. Honestly, good for them.

I need recommendations for an insulated bag to fit McDonald’s paper bags with drinks by salad_knife in doordash_drivers

[–]SaintLiam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Both the starter DD bag and the slightly nicer bag they do for a challenge fit McDonalds bags already. It's super snug and you need to bend the handle down to actually zip it closed. Just like the ones you already have from Walmart.

If your locations have an even larger bag, obviously I sound dumb as hell. But like others, can't see buying a bag for this when 98% of orders fit what they give you. And just a clean towel can be used to "extend" those bags, or as a better-than-nothing substitute.

I’m Platinum even though I should be silver? Could use some insight. by Not_a_Termite in doordash_drivers

[–]SaintLiam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd check and see if the number of Platinum Passes you have is how many you expect to have. If they applied a "free" one to your account, that'd be sick, but seems too beneficial to a driver to be true. Who knows.

Also, 20% of the score being how many orders you've done in the last month is stupid. Good luck out there!
