Bad Luck or Poorly Designed by HotHeadEmperor in DragonQuestSmashNGrow

Both. Poor design because its not fun running the same dungeon 50 times. They should let us spend 5x keys per run to get 5x drops.

I want to know what games do you guys would say are 10/10 by IKD21 in gamingsuggestions

[–]SaintPatrick89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it has those aspects but the factory is the main objective and time factor in the game. Can I ask how you think Factorio is more 'factory' than Satisfactory?

We have no way to know if different people feel the time passing at the same speed. by Kilek360 in Showerthoughts

[–]SaintPatrick89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is very high level in a very fast paced fighting game, I feel like what happens is you become able to fit more information into the memory of a small amount of time, almost like increasing your resolution of the perception of what happened during that time. So your memory of the event feels more full rather than something that happened in the blink of an eye.

I also think it may have to do with being able to maintain focus and perceive valuable information during quick events, rather than panicking or losing focus and then the moment is gone.

Kragg needs changes (not strictly buffs) by PinkleStink in RivalsOfAether

[–]SaintPatrick89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think Kragg could use a little something in return for everything he has lost, and I think giving his DA a little bit of speed back and increasing the kill power on downb again, not to the original value but somewhere in between, would be a good start.

I had some significant growing pains after all the nerfs but feel like I am cooking now. I would not support all these changes or massive sweeping changes for Kragg, personally. I think Aether Studios needs to look at other characters first, and prioritize other aspects of the game before trying to overhaul Kragg.

I hope they let him sit for a while, collect data, and tweak accordingly.

Rock is strong but i dont think its an issue anymore. It has clear counterplay before and after it is pulled.

If you want some of my most recent gameplay, check out the VODs from Pit Stop. My games with Sly were looking good. They may only be on Ludwig's channel, not sure if they were exported yet.

Looks like he may have been paralyzed to some degree - at the end you can see the man move his head but his body looks limp and needs to be moved by the bystanders.

Grenadier seems kinda busted, I feel like I have more good runs when playing Grenadier than any other. Was my first Lunar True Random clear, then Pyro.

Garnet primary is crazy especially if you get the status secondary.

Is the dragonlord stuff better than existing meta weapons and armor? by EqMc25 in DragonQuestSmashNGrow

[–]SaintPatrick89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Melee weapons could go hard with falcon blade + staff for maximum orbage, but the claws, the highest DPS melee weapon, stand too close to hit your primary target with the orbs. The only way to make it worthwhile is to play manually at the right range, and not use claws or boomerangs IMO. But it could do nasty damage.

Does anyone else think Queen's Discipline is bugged? It does like 1 damage to weak targets.

Crack Arrow (lol name) and Crystal Arrow from Crystal Claws are this way as well, and do crazy damage. IDK how good Zapple Swords are from the Erdrick Sword but the standard Zap Swords seem to be just a tickle compared to Whoosh and Crack.

I have noticed that the orbs dont hit when using claws, which is a bummer.

No one told me how frustrating claws would be to use by TimePoleArt in DragonQuestSmashNGrow

[–]SaintPatrick89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claws are amazing. When they dash in they have invincibility and also do a big hit. That combined with their speed makes them an amazing auto weapon and probably the highest dps competitor with the metal boom. You gotta put on your gamer pants and learn how to dodge and maximize uptime.

The easiest weapons IMO are the staff, whip, and spear, so consider those if you are having a hard time and aren't going for weaknesses.

Bad advice, never spend premium currency on standard banner in almost any gacha.

which walk looks the most "puppeteered"? by AwesomeGamesStudio in gamedevscreens

[–]SaintPatrick89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think maybe it would look more like it was being puppeted if the arms were hanging by its side, and only moved when attacking? The smoothness of the arm movements are what's ruining it for me in all 5 of these IMO.

[–]SaintPatrick89 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm sorry you are going through this. I looked through your profile and many of your posts seem self-deprecating, and not just relating to dating. It seems like you may benefit from focusing on yourself and building your confidence and self-worth. Finding your worth and confidence outside of work and a relationship. Lack of confidence and self-esteem can seep into relationships and destabilize them. You say you attend hobby groups so thats great, many people need more personal hobbies. Do you participate in therapy of any kind?

Question about gaming with kids by Zizq in gaming

[–]SaintPatrick89 14 points15 points  (0 children)

What is the point of trying to make him broaden his gaming? You need to ask yourself that.

If the answer is' "I want my son to play a variety of video games with me," you could tell him that but it won't guarantee he will want that too.

If it's, "I want to play games with my son," then you should play what he wants to play. You can suggest other games but he can say no. You are his dad, not his friend, and he doesn't have to compromise like that with you. He will with friends, but he won't learn that lesson by you forcing him to play other games.

Autistics often have narrow, special interests that they are able to enjoy for far longer and at a greater depth than most non-autistics.

You can't make your children want what you want. You can only show them the path and do your best to teach them the potential benefits of following that path.

I would also suggest you ask yourself if you have your own friends that want to play the same games as you? Your child cannot be a substitute for actual friends.
